Because someone is going to make money in the training industry. While he isn't the only one, the list isn't that long of people who should be making it in some form or another before Rip. Who else would spend as much time on a message board answering questions, giving tips/feedback, and say "do business with us as payment"? Pretty much every other person in a similar position is demanding a payment up front, and who knows how well they follow through on what they are selling.

The current baseball thread would show I don't always see eye to eye with him, but a)the man is transparent; like it or not, you know where he stands on things, and b)wall street types would say he is "leaking revenue" left and right, which shows he isn't doing it for the money, or he would operate a different way. So the rest of us getting people onto SS is the way to see a decent amount of that money make its way to where it should go, rather than some d-bag in a closet somewhere claiming to be this or that, when all he is doing is aping Rip's work.

AFAIC, *that's* why we should encourage others to do SS. From a personal health perspective, any kind of lifting will improve most people's condition, so SS isn't necessarily specific. You can just tell them to lift weights if that's your goal. But frankly, there is a better way, and someone has gone to significant work to not only put it out there, but explain it in a pretty solid manner in great detail. That's why.
