Junk, in my opinion, but gets the job done.
Hello coach,
after some years spent changing gyms, trying to find a good one, I decided to quit and get a home gym in my basement.
I live in Italy, and unfortunately cannot buy from Rogue.eu due to my low budget. So the alternatives are either bringing your rack project to a local fab shop, or buying online in some websites from my country.
This one offers a rack at 575 euros, around 700 dollars, and these are the specs:
-maximum weight 1000pounds;
-weight 205 pounds;
-57'x46'x82'
-diameter 1,2'
Training Power Rack | RIG & RACK
What is your opinion about it?
cheers,

"Material: Standard steel" Oh, that makes me feel good.

Hey coach thanks for the quick response,
I'll convert your rack project measurements in the metric system, and bring it to my local fab shop then. I'm looking for a lifetime rack that can be used for many years, and yours seems very sturdy and strong. I only don't know if a normal blacksmith is able to do a safe rack. That's why I was a bit reluctant about it.
I kinda figure if you're not running a gym and aren't a giant among men, nearly any full rack of a remotely reasonable design will suffice. But that's just me.
Just don't screw around with cheap barbells.
The rack I have in my garage is virtually the same as the one pictured in your post. No doubt manufactured in China and sold by many fitness companies. I only paid $199 for it about 5 years ago. I'm planning to get a better one in the future, but for now it fits perfectly in my one car garage along with my motorcycle and car. Like coach said, "it gets the job done."
