    Default Trying to accommodate my job in my strength training

    So, I started a new job as a warehouse loader and it is basically 8-12 hours of moderate cardio loading cases of drinks onto packets in the texas heat. I've been training about 4 weeks and I'm trying to drop some body fat(I'm 33 years old, 6' 230 and roughly 25-ish% body fat). While I have the novice effect going for me I'm concerned about my job interfering with both my recovery and my overall strength gaining. Am I just overthinking it and just up my calories to account for the added activity or is there anything else you would suggest?

    I know about training and working in the Texas heat. You will adapt to the work. Lots of people on this board have trained productively with a hard physical job. But you can't do it and worry about your bodyfat percentage, or you will under-eat, I assure you. Just don't eat a bunch of shit, do eat a lot of fruit, and rest as long as you can between work and training. Here is Starr's opinion on training in the heat:
