Love this, and I think there's something quite profound in this idea.
Rarely are there situations in life where we have so much control over the relevant variables that contribute to a desired outcome, allowing us to shape an important part of our reality.
Fantastic! I have considered for some time that this notion likely is a factor in my own ongoing motivation for lifting (in spite of having no natural aptitude for it). The "orderliness" of it is nice. Getting under the bar is like a celebration of the absence of bullshit, even my own. "Iron. Gravity. Biology. And you." Now that should be a shirt.
