Okay, that might be best. Hopefully I can get back to it before too long. Thanks for your help, Rip. I really appreciate it.

Haha, I had considered the idea that you were being sarcastic, but I didn't want to be rude. My apologies. I imagine you'd recommend starting up an LP, then?

Take some fucking aspirin, get under the bar, and train. I just squatted with a cracked rib. Stop being a pussy.

    How'd you crack a rib?

I searched the Q&A, and I found a post where you voiced your general skepticism about trigger point therapy and how it doesn't/hasn't worked well for you. Have you had experience with clients managing trigger points? If so, what did you have them do? Particularly, do you find that the pain should be trained through?

I ask because I believe I have a particularly nasty trigger point that I'm trying to work out, but I'm itching to get back in the gym, and I'll take just about any excuse to do so, even if I have to start with the 45 pound bar.

    Thanks!
My experience with trigger points is similar to tendonitis:
    1) The longer you wait to fix it, the deeper a whole you will dig for yourself.
    2) You need to stop whatever is causing it.

In my case, I was squatting too deep. It got to the point where I could barely walk without excruciating pain. Once I cleared the depth problem up, I never had the issue again (4 years ago).

You wouldn't believe me if I told you.
