For people that find Rogue too expensive, Titan seems to be an acceptable alternative (at least for strongman equipment like logs and yokes).

Titan is trash. I gave them a shot and they did not deliver. I purchased a T-3 squat rack in 2015. A year later I noticed a 5 - 10 degree misalignment in the holes of the uprights causing the bar to sit slightly slanted on the rack. This was small enough to be unnoticeable until I purchased their dip attachment a year later. They refused to do anything because it fell outside of their 1 year warranty by that time.

Curious that Ironmind hasn't come up yet in this discussion.

Expensive? Yes. BUt I've bought several of their products over the years and they have held up just fine.

That has not been my experience. In my experience, it is overpriced junk.

I bought a lot from rogue and overall I'm happy. But there are some of their solutions that really annoy me and that are money out the window:

-plate storage on the rack: is simply just in the way of your lifts and security pins.

-trolley system for triceps extensions and lat pulldowns: the cable is just way too long and full range of motion is not possible unless you're 4.5 tall.

It appears everyone has their own set of expectations. I've used their hip belt squat rig and their claw curl grip webbing for over 10 years with no hitch.

Yeah, I think if you're going to do that a 6 post rack is the way to go.
I'm using a 4 post rack with 2 plate trees behind it.
A 6 post rack might be a slightly cleaner setup, although more cumbersome to move, but obviates the need to bolt it down when using spotter arms outside the rack.

As a trademark lawyer, that article makes me mildly sick to my stomach. There are about 18 different misuses, misconceptions, and flat-out wrong statements.

I have a different question. Rip, what the hell kind of internet sewer crawl were you doing to find this digital rag "Mel"? all I can think is seven degrees of keven bacon, Alt Web unrated version.
