Well looks like the City of Dallas has canceled the St Patrick's parade that was to be our next member event... Probably the right call but still a bummer. Now what ever am I going to do with the 17.5 gallons of beer I made for the event?!
You can keep it cold.
If you watch the movie "Strange Brew", you might get an idea!
As I'm sure many of you are aware, due to the corona virus we are currently shut down. We have received an overwhelmingly positive response from our members in their pledge to help keep the gym open when the restriction on gyms is lifted. I can't thank our loyal members enough; it is truly humbling.
Just a quick update from me. All of our equipment has been loaned out since we are shut down due to the guberments reaction to Covid-19. We are training the majority of our clients online and those that have enough weight (the real bottleneck here) are still setting PR's.
Hopefully this will all be over soon and we can go back to making people harder to kill.
Hey folks. This has certainly been a "trying time" but we are doing what we can to hang on to our sanity and our diminishing gains. Our members have been super supportive and my staff top notch. Can't thank them enough.
The gooberment on the other hand has screwed up left and right. While it is acceptable for you to go to the movies now here in TX, my gym where patrons can be spaced out 10ft apart is apparently not good enough. Don't want to turn this into a libertarian rant and Yes, Rip, I know I can open today as a consciences dissenter.
As of right now we are scheduled to open May18th as part of Phase 2 in the "Open Texas" plan. Stay strong my friends even if the government doesn't want you to.
Only a few days before we reopen on the 18th. We scrubbed all the rust off of the racks over the last couple days. We also had our final walk through with our general contractor today who took advantage of the closure to tidy up some of the many loose ends that were the result of shoddy work the first time around. Yes, almost one year later we are finally happy with our buildout...
Our equipment that we loaned our members is being returned on Saturday and my staff is on the ready to de-rust the gear and disinfect it prior to starting intro sessions this Sunday. We are very eager to get back to what we do best: making people stronger and harder to kill.
