    That’s a fascinating read for those of us who are often pressed to keep up a regular gym schedule.

    Curious about the data regarding weight: was that without any intentional dietary interventions? Seems like losing weight could have been an additional drag on gains, or am I missing something?

    Again, thanks for compiling and writing up the case. It gives one new perspective on the discouragement that can arise when “life” intervened on training plans.

    There were basically no dietary interventions during linear progression. For a 6'3" novice at 280lb bodyweight, weight loss this slow isn't going to have a huge effect. If he were 6'3" and 180lb, I would have made recommendations for diet on the first week: more protein and more calories.
