The answer to your question is both.
I coach a few athletes, however my schedule is full, and when I get requests for coaching I direct them to other SSCs.
The coaching I do is because I enjoy it, it helps my training, and it keeps my coaching skills up.
Starting Strength has very much enhanced all of my ventures. It’s very interesting how getting better at one thing helps a person get better at others.
