This "impeachment" is insurance Trump will not rise again, it is not about the Capitol riot, it is about keeping the US under Democratic rule. These folks are desperate.
It would most likely be better for the Republicans too if they found another candidate.

    What are their choices?

Trump won in a field of 17(?) idiots. He ran as the ultimate outsider.

Biden won in a field of 17(?) idiots too. He ran as the definitive insider.

The next election will not be selecting Republican or Democrat, it will be about insider or outsider.

I used the wrong word, should have said "under democrat rule", not "democratic" which is a term which hardly has any meaning these days. I do not believe the Repubs will exist in a few years, I think most of them have shot them selves in the foot. We have the same problem here also, the conservative parties have been infiltrated by folk who fly the conservative flag on election day, but when elected go about white anting the party they stood for. The Labor party here years ago was for the working man, now they are green and so far left they are falling of the edge.

    Some points back?

This Sullivan guy, who took the close up video of Ashli murder, was arrested. Good chance he was a leftist infiltrator, riot instigator, and tied if not part of Antifa.
