You have had a good crack at this, 1100 plus pages. I think you have covered everything about CV-19 and then some, so where do you think it will end up Mark? More control over the human population of this world, or will it fizz out like HIV?

Remember the good old times 9 months ago when all of the leftists said there would be no mandatory vaccines, the Republicans said they would never comply with
mandatory vaccinations and the "conspiracy theorists" said there would almost certainly be mandatory vaccinations that most of the population would go along with to demonstrate their fealty to the ruling political party?

    Those were better times.

Here's the post I read: Streetwise Professor >> Who Is To Blame for SWP’s (and Texas’s) Forced Outage?

While the absolute number of gigawatts offline might be greater, a larger percentage of thermal generation remained online than renewable.

It is a common technique used by writers to exaggerate their point: there are multiple ways to express numbers, so use the one that best supports the view I want to push. While 30 > 16 (demonstrating the greater absolute impact on thermal generation vs. wind), there are plenty of values of X and Y for which X - 30 > Y - 16 (allowing for the relative durability of thermal vs. wind).

That doesn't change the fact that it was perfectly reasonable -- though tragic -- to be unprepared for such extreme cold. Nor does it change the fact that they were prevented from using generation mechanisms with greater effluent by threat of stiff Federal fines.

Justice Thomas: The decision to leave election law hidden beneath a shroud of doubt is baffling. By doing nothing, we invite further confusion and erosion of voter confidence. Our fellow citizens deserve better and expect more of us. I respectfully dissent.
They really only leave us with one option.

Boris Johnson has just announced that restrictions may now begin to be relaxed, BUT there "may well be role" for domestic Covid passports. It sounds like the vaccine certificate for international travel is already a done deal but there also may be a role for domestic certification.

All of his posts do this very thing, and all the Leftists that post here do it too. I don't know where they learn this, but be assured that it is intentional, and it persuades stupid people all the time. It's a useful rhetorical tool in that respect. Maybe law school teaches this? Anybody know?

The Appeal to Sincerity. That works on stupid people too: "He really means it. He believes it. I guess he's right. And I don't want to be wrong, because that would make me wrong. It's important to listen to all sides, even if they make no logical sense, so I hope Rip keeps approving his posts!"
    Absolutely nailed it.

Sweden's strategy to reach herd immunity I don't think made it. They are introducing tougher lock-down rules.
