If you choose to do as you are told, you deserve the economic losses
Obviously these gig workers must make more than $400,000 annually since Biden promised no taxes below that, right?

Biden's executive order is pretty funny, considering its scope: Biden announces new executive orders on gun control

First Rule of Leadership: Never issue an order that you know will not be obeyed. Makes you look stupid and undermines your authority.

We will not be enforcing federal laws or these "regulations" that violate the state constitutional rights of our citizens. I will warn and then arrest any federal agent who tries. I don't know one other officer who will comply in any way, and frankly... most are ready to do more than arrest.

Biden/Harris is already laughably weak. They're doing this on purpose. I didn't even get a chance to build my rabbit hutches...

    Report from the wild:
Mom got the sweet n' sour sickness. She's literally the definition of an at risk person: tremendously fat (I've tried for years on that front), over 70, diabetic, heart condition, etc. She was fine, didn't even know she had it. Wouldn't have except her doc tested on a regular visit. They hospitalized her out of caution.

The down side of this is that after 2.5 weeks on her ass in the bed she can't/won't (she hates doing anything hard) walk. So now they got her over at rehab, won't let me visit, and her room mates ordering them pizzas. On her ass in bed, eating trash food. The wonders of modern medicine.

Since the shut down shut me down I'm trying to figure out what to do. They offered a program for people like me who are out of work due to the shut down for free college classes so I went back to finish a degree- maybe proof I can jump through hoops will help me get a job? I just got an email from an instructor that introduced (?) itself as Mx. McPeak. Wtf? How do I even say that? Can they not just check their underwear and see which equipment they got? Or hell, pick one- I don't care- it's not like I'm gonna verify it. I can't talk about anything political or controversial for the required speech class. How does one do a persuasive speech without talking about something controversial- hence the need to persuade someone? Have to get topics approved so my last attempt is a speech on how Starting Strength is the best programming. (50/50 shot on that one if the instructor's Crossfit or Googles.) I got points taken off a discussion post on Covid (different class) because I brought up the PCR problems. In the required discussion boards you cannot criticize. It's in the instructions. At a college. Where people are supposed to learn? Anything other than "great post" has gotten me points deducted. Which is hard, because the posts aren't great. Half of them can't spell.

Is this what the fuck is going on in colleges now? I feel like I'm losing IQ points just being enrolled. I thought math was gonna be my biggest issue. But these people are so terribly stupid. I wish I could get ya'll access to some of these discussion boards. You wouldn't believe me otherwise. I'm clearly gonna have to wait for the in person auto tech classes to open because I don't think I can kiss ass well enough to make it through this shit.

We're gonna end up having to section ourselves off (secession) just to maintain sanity. None of these people have read 1984 I don't think. Surely, they'd recognize what they're doing if they had. Seriously though, this shit is gonna have long range effects. Hospitalizing vulnerable populations because they test positive is a great way to actually get them sick. And if this is what colleges are doing everywhere, we're gonna be fighting the results of that for a long time to come. Kids got four years of this shit being shoved down their throats. We can speculate all day long but the changes are upon us. Choose your sides wisely.

Regarding the EU and Australia. They are probably waiting to properly understand the side effects from the biggest clinical trial ever conducted in history.
As I have said before I was among the young children in the 60's that was in the mass vaccination for polio, which had gone from an injection to a vaccine in a tea spoon, we all lined up in the quadrangle to take the vaccine. They also had vaccination certificates and up to 3 does were required. They had the same problems in those days as they are having with CV-19 Vaccines and they always will, there is nothing new about this event except as you say the media coverage which hangs on every bit of nasty news.

If you read this link below about the polio vaccine in Australia you can see we have been down this track before.

It is always amazing that people in government cannot understand the concept of unintended consequences. Like side effects in medications, it's always in operation, it must always be considered before being undertaken, and it never is:

"There Are Absolutely No Job Seekers": How Trillions In Stimulus Sparked A Historic Job Market Crisis | ZeroHedge

These are not one-off cases: these real-life events, revealed by Bloomberg, expose the striking statistical reality in the US: on April 1 the NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business) reported that in March a record-high percentage of small businesses surveyed said they had jobs they couldn’t fill: 42%, vs. an average since 1974 of 22%.

Even more amazing: a stunning 91% of respondents said they had few or no qualified applicants for job openings in the past three months, tied for the third highest since that question was added to the NFIB survey in 1993.

One of our favorite labor market metrics, the so-called "take this job and shove it" indicator- or the "Quits" rate from the JOLTS survey - is the latest confirmation of how empowered workers feel: in March the number of people quitting jobs hit 2.3% of overall employment in January, just a tenth of a percentage point below the record going back to 2001.

But what is most striking is the context on these figures: recall that just one year ago, the unemployment rate was a depression-era 14.8%. And while it has since dropped to 6%, it remains well above the 3.5% rate of February 2020, before the pandemic. So judging from the jobless rate - which the Federal Reserve tracks closely - there’s still plenty of slack in the labor market.

But that’s not how employers and job counselors see it. There will be even less slack in coming months as the economy strengthens. The median forecast of economists surveyed by Bloomberg is that the jobless rate will fall to 4.5% in the second quarter of 2022.
    And this is good:

To be sure, there is a "chicken or egg" component (with a solid dollop of socialism thrown in for good measure): since many of the jobs that employers can’t fill are low-paying, there are few spoiled GenZ and Millennial applicants for entry level pay (they would much rather collect 6 figures off the bat), while the high-paying ones generally require skills... skills that most young Americans don’t have simply because they refuse to "subject" themselves to entry-level jobs that will build up the skills they need to be better paid.

And so, a historic crisis emerges, one where the government is actively subsidizing the minimum-wage sedentary snowflake lifestyle (while indoctrinating the young generation in liberal propaganda), which prevents those same workers from getting real jobs and developing real skills they will need to make real money.

In short, a toxic feedback loop created by the government which - in its hope of becoming ever bigger - it has no intention of ever breaking. Meanwhile, an entire lost generation of workers is emerging.
That which you subsidize, you get more of.

Wait a sec. Has anyone explained to this dude how guns work? Those kits he's proposing to target - that doesn't work. For one, you can just buy the parts separately instead of as a "kit". But also, the receiver is the main part and it's not part of the kit. Who the fuck is this law for? I have to assume it's show for people who don't know any better.

    Yep.

Biden outright lies. He was confronted point blank by a guy about taking guns before the election. He yelled at the guy, calling him “Full of shit”. We know who in that exchange that was full of shit.

Irony is the government saying, on one hand, that vaccine manufacturers are immune from liability but on the other hand, gun manufacturers should be held liable for gun deaths. All the while pressuring the public to get the vaccine and pressuring the public against firearms.
