Wasn't his main argument that we are nearing a time of revolution and collapse for at least a few years? If a new system has the possibility to mean a China-like police state or one where Ray Dalio gets to decide how wealth is distributed, I feel justified in panicking. GDP is not the sole predictor of quality of life, especially in a country where the poor are obese, rather than emaciated.
Ray is simply repeating many of the mistakes of history; He appears to believe he knows the keys to make top down monetary systems and socialism succeed this time; Marx and all of the intelligent people of the past who demonstrated the failures of socialism every time, were simply were not as intelligent as the great Dalio.
His pro-China stance is also very concerning. He may well have financial interests involved, but the idea that we should be thanking China for what they have done is ludicrous.
Was it pointed at me? I am sure that teenage girl who was sitting on the grass deserved to be strangled by the 50 year old male doc who outweighed her by 150lbs.
I also want to say that if my wealth or my country's wealth is forcibly redistributed from me to the rest of the world, I will be pissed. My ancestors who fought and worked to build the country would be rolling in their graves. They were fighting for the freedom and wealth of their children, not to pay welfare to a stranger halfway around the world.
