So in the hypothetical case of wanting ivermectin and a pharmacy not filling a prescription I think I would just go to another pharmacy that will provide. A little google-fu found a list of those that will provide in the USA - its not hard. Are there online pharmacies in the USA that will courier a prescription? If I was really aggrieved I might point out to the pharmacy owner that their staff are costing them sales and potentially put in a written complaint. A lawsuit seems a step too far and, I think, unlikely to succeed as there seem to be very easy alternatives.
For the libertarians, what is the market failure here, is it so extreme that it needs some type of government intervention/regulation to compel supply and is that the slippery slope to state provided healthcare that significant parts of the USA seems to abhor as a step towards socialism?
