My whole family is covid positive at the moment, isolating since saturday.

Kids, 10,10,13,15 have pretty much been killing each other the whole time, apart from sniffle/cough they are fine.

I mowed the lawns and hit a bench PR yesterday (im not that strong but its still there) and besides sleeping in a pool of sweat last night and having a bit of nasal congestion, I'm alright. I guess there is till time for it to kill me (thats what it does ammirite?) but at the moment I'm very underwhelmed.

Wife, double vaxxed, also positive. No better or worse than I am.

20 months being locked up in Melbourne, 2 weeks since the kids went back to school and bang, we are all infected. May as well got it over with last year.

Lawsuit filed as hospital handcuffs doctors' ability to save dying COVID-19 patients.
    October 9, 2021

In a press release issued today, the FLCCC announced that its Co-Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Paul Marik filed suit against Sentara Healthcare System for instituting a policy preventing him and other physicians from administering proven, life-saving treatments. "We take an oath as doctors to do no harm," said Dr. Pierre Kory, Co-Chief Medical Officer of the FLCCC. "No doctor should be forced to watch their patient die knowing that more could have been done to save them."

UH OH. Paul Offit and the FDA committee screwed up. You are actually more likely to get myocarditis from the vaccine than from COVID. Here's the proof.

Fuck anthropology, I took a course on it once in my first foray into college. I was out of there in 2 weeks.

You can at least see how in this context, the statement is absurdly pacifistic, right? What I would like to understand is, why is this kind of pacifism so common when bullets aren't involved?
Nice attempted reductio ad absurdum - but we are not talking about shooting here. Any response on my part is proportional, maybe to be more correct I should have said "...I also don't want to dictate to others".

So in the hypothetical case of wanting ivermectin and a pharmacy not filling a prescription I think I would just go to another pharmacy that will provide. A little google-fu found a list of those that will provide in the USA - its not hard. Are there online pharmacies in the USA that will courier a prescription? If I was really aggrieved I might point out to the pharmacy owner that their staff are costing them sales and potentially put in a written complaint. A lawsuit seems a step too far and, I think, unlikely to succeed as there seem to be very easy alternatives.

For the libertarians, what is the market failure here, is it so extreme that it needs some type of government intervention/regulation to compel supply and is that the slippery slope to state provided healthcare that significant parts of the USA seems to abhor as a step towards socialism?

The attempt wasn't really to disprove your argument. It was an analogy to get us to see these people as an enemy who are engaging in warfare with us. Because that is exactly what they are doing.

Maybe the solution isn't necessarily to force pharmacists to fill everything, but we need punish them in some way. Just like in war, you don't always have to counter attack in the most obvious way. Any ideas how to shoot back on this one? That's what I'm driving at. Strategically I see some kind of counter-attack as necessary. I'm flexible on the tactics, as long as they are punishing, practical, and effective. But something needs to be done.

We play fair. They attack us. We retreat. In this case the retreat is into finding another source to fill your prescription. The pattern repeats over and over and the attrition is always on our side. This is why they are dominating us.

This investigation looked at the effects of the Vero Cell vaccine which has not been approved in the US. Only China has approved this vaccine. So, there was no need for the CDC to report on this. Also, this vaccine uses an inactivated SARS-CoV-2 virus, not mRNA.
