I guess papa Bush, Johnson, and Hoover didn't like this speech...

It's my understanding that JFK's message statement in this speech, "There is a plan in this country to enslave every man, woman, and child," has been scrubbed from the internet. Such irony.

The states that FAILED to protect people from COVID | Daily Mail Online

States that imposed the harshest lockdowns had the most devastating impact on the public, the most wide-ranging study into Covid restrictions in the US to date has found.

New York, California, New Jersey and Illinois were panned for their pandemic performance after bringing in draconian measures to shut their citizens in their homes.

Those states' Democrat Governors' policies caused high death rates, ruined children's education and destroyed businesses due to the severe curbs on freedom, researchers found as they slapped them with an F-grade.

And isn't it amusing that they're freaking about about Elon Musk buying up Twitter complaining that billionaires shouldn't get to decide speech policy despite that being exactly what we have now?
Yup, I am sure this problem is a concern for them.

Fascinating. David Mamet is a wise man: American Occupation - Tablet Magazine

Over the last two years in America, I’ve witnessed our own forces of evil with incredulity, despair, and rage. Corruption, blasphemy, and absurdity have been accepted by one-half of the electorate as the cost of doing business; as has the fear this acceptance generates. Does anyone actually believe that men change into women and women into men who can give birth, that the Earth is burning, the seas are rising, and we’ll all perish unless we cover our faces with strips of cotton?

No one does. These proclamations are an act of faith, in a new, as yet unnamed religion, and the vehemence with which one proclaims allegiance to these untruths is an exercise no different from any other ecstatic religious oath. They become the Apostles’ Creed of the left, their proclamation committing the adherent physically to their strictures, exactly as the oath taken on induction to the armed services. The inductee is told to “take one step forward,” and once they do he or she can no longer claim, “I misunderstood the instruction.”

Those currently in power insist on masking, but don’t wear masks. They claim the seas are rising and build mansions on the shore. They abhor the expenditure of fossil fuels and fly exclusively in private jets. And all the while half of the country will not name the disease. Why?

Because the cost of challenging this oppressive orthodoxy has, for them, become too high. Upon a possible awakening, they—or more likely their children—might say that the country was occupied. And they would be right.
Read the whole thing, it's an excellent piece.

Whenever I am confronted with virtue signaler covid proselytizers I tell them that I am against religious coercion.

This is pretty funny, but not for the fetuses!

Stalin's purge removed all his top men from the Red Army and affected the Winter war with Finland in 39 and the German onslaught in early WW2. Putin has not learnt from the history of his own country. They just cannot win a war.
I mean, since you obviously want this to be true so much, there is no reason to argue with you.

Well, they would then turn into importing nations.

We shouldn't be so quick to rush to judgment; they may yet decide he identifies as an SUV.

It is rare throughout history for a nation to tolerate multiculturalism or demographic replacement.
Every time a nation does, it precedes an almost immediate collapse of the society subjected to it.
Russia is far from alone in its current view.

Money (mostly acquired through fraud and deception) is used to buy media and political power.
Media and political power are in turn used to promote immigration and subsequent balkanization.

Weaponized immigration is the most destructive tool of war mankind has ever devised.

Lots of blame, sure. It is morally praiseworthy, of course, to demonize the Church as it has been the primary bullwark against the failings of men for centuries. It is those failings that are to blame. Thus, why the March Through the Institutions went straight through Rome, as well, settling on the Vatican Hill in 1963. All opposition had to have been brought to heel.

N.b. the usual comparisons to atheistic communists, demon worshiping Muslims, rationalist Protestants, and pagan heathens who decimated whole swaths of people without question, but are nonetheless the recipients of all manner of moral praise.

I am an Eastern Rite Catholic; we figured out the solution long ago. I have a lot of respect and love for the Heterodox. Their theology is a beautiful compliment and completion of the Western tradition. Their prayer life is profound. Their traditionalists are more fervent than the Latins. But, they are stubborn and their “leaders” are weak and have been tempted and captured by the World. They have no shepherd, but to be fair, nor do the Latins. They received virtually all the concessions they’ve ever dreamed of over the last 60 years. And for what? Constantinople doesn’t talk to Moscow. The Greeks and Copts and Syrians do what they want. The Americans are nuts.

Faith is the assent of one’s reason to Truth. It is not simple belief or trust. If this is what people have made as their faith, what does it say for their reason?

Glengarry Glen Ross is one of my favorite movies. When I started at the Hollywood talent agency as an assistant back in the 1990s the head of the agency had us all watch it to understand the sour desperation of selling, since our business was selling actors. Dave Rubin recently interviewed Mamet. He is amazingly perceptive.

(How great would it have been for 2020, election- and covidiot-wise, if certain of OUR journalists had gotten "disappeared"?). The stinginess with approving protest permits? (Who cares1845485 about losing the right to riot downtown, if in exchange you could have an actual border and, bonus, get transgenderism banned from being taught in schools?). So, help me out, in a world where the perfect politician doesn't exist, I'm trying to figure out where Putin's strengths and weaknesses stack up so poorly against the ones of OUR leaders.
They want a Yeltsin. A Yeltsin would even be allowed to disappear a few journalists of his choosing (if he so desired), as long as he kept his nose bright red with copious amounts of alcohol and allowed the West to continue financially raping Russia. They want Russia turned into another massive economic zone where people come and go freely, and all national character is slowly eroded until all that's left is strip malls and a compliant slave race that habitually apologizes to its enemies. The fact that Putin Man isn't allowing this is what actually makes Putin Man Bad, not all that other stuff.
