    Are these things losing money?

It was inevitable, though. It had to come to this once the republican initiatives started gaining steam.

Now you can see pro-life conservatives are really welfare statists in disguise. DeSantis now has to start planting the seed of large and expensive state welfare programs, and more onerous taxation and economic regulation, to protect unwanted children. After all, if abortion is banned, and parents don't want their children (or, more likely, cannot *afford* to have children but are forced to have them anyway), who is going to take care of them? The answer is... the state. Or, more accurately, the taxpayer. People will not stop having sex. I'm pretty sure people will risk going to jail or dying to have sex. So, that guarantees a need for increased welfare programs in Florida.

They don’t believe in the innocence of children. They believe in the doctrine of original sin which is in direct opposition of the sanctity of life, and political power and control over other people’s lives through force.

When you abandon individual rights, you must turn to statism, while making it sound noble and compassionate. And what could be more compassionate than protecting innocent children? This isn’t even about deeply-held religious views (the pro life connection to religion is a recent invention of the Catholic Church). It is not about science, either. That is another smokescreen, similar in principle to the smokescreen of environmentalism.

This is about exploiting the very real innocence of children for evil political purposes. DeSantis made the first move. Others, now emboldened, will follow.

(Some) people wanted freedom. What they will get is the right's version of tyranny.

I would love to see the violation of the US Constitution's Bill of Rights become a felony under state law. I'd have a lot more teeth to deal with things.

Roberts wanted to limit the scope of the decision to reversing the actual Dobbs case and upholding Mississippi's ban on abortions after 15 weeks, but not overturning RvW.

I also heard Kavanaugh caused that gun case to become only "shall issue" instead of nationwide constitutional carry. He's also said he's going to allow murder tourism due to it being interstate commerce. Crossing state lines before killing people is good unless your name is Kyle, which makes it an unforgiveable sin.

Can you Americans explain what just happened with the gun reform bill?

Currently, states like NY, California, Maryland, etc. technically issue concealed carry permits, but they are almost impossible to get for a normal person because you have to prove you have a special security need. Other states have "shall issue" licensing, meaning they shall issue your license without any requirements to prove your need for one. You just do the training class, prove you aren't a complete retard, and you can carry concealed in public. Finally, there are "constitutional carry" states that allow you to carry a gun without any license. This ruling is supposed to turn the states like NY and CA into "shall issue" states.

Sorry, misread your question with my first answer. I'm not too familiar with the details of the bill, so hopefully someone else will have more details. But the summary seems to be making it harder for 18-21 year olds to buy a gun, and red flag laws that are repackaged as "crisis intervention" laws.

Your examples are really strange, but let's try to run them. Abortion being "banned" is a decent financial incentive to pull out.

North Dakota has a history of socialism. For example, a previous out and out socialist governor a hundred some years ago, a current covert socialist governor (R), a state owned bank, a state owned mill and elevator, a state run workman's comp disability program, and a republican super majority legislature that has been infiltrated by democrats claiming to be republicans because there are very few places in this state that an individual can get elected as a democrat. The voters are ok if they would every get truly informed over how their state government is being run, but the state governing class sucks.
Australia has followed international free market capitalism in this regard, and now China controls its food supply in addition to much of its best land.

Foreign finance must not be allowed to speculate on land prices or threaten the freedom, independence and fiscal security of its citizens through financial warfare.
Black Rock, our nation's internationally financed landlord, must not be allowed to destabilize our economy and skyrocket housing prices to the detriment of our citizens.
Likewise, corporations, such as the trusts owned by Gates must not be allowed to speculate on farmland.

On the other hand, private citizens must have their property rights protected, allowing them to use land for whatever purpose they deem fit.
Despite some ridiculous court rulings that may suggest otherwise, corporations are not citizens.

    Nothing.

Just a bunch of rhetoric and BS about "counselling our troubled youth", which was supposed to be happening anyway. But now, supposedly, there is "funding".

Damn sure nothing there that's going to "save lives".
