Why Do Rich People Love Quiet? - The Atlantic
This article articulates what I see as the New America. I do not feel like the author and I could co-exist. They seem to not accept tolerance (quietness) and want full blown take over. The writing is on the walls, I can no longer be described as a fellow countrymen to these people. I am starting to see splitting up as a national solution....I NEVER thought I/it would come to this.
"America, the thing works" - John Madden
I agree that this is part of it. The same exists within the military, and what appears to exist in ambulance services, sports teams, etc. I'm sure you've been around and seen pervasive attitudes in gyms and picked up on common ideas between people you might not expect would share them. People say sheriffs deal with a lot of public pressure since they're elected offices, but Chief of Police is one step down from the Mayor, and that's just as political with or without the vote.
Training and lower/mid level leadership is usually the backbone of an organization, and I suppose I'm just trying to dig down again and figure out how LEAs can go off the rails by attitude, legally sound practice or both. There's always some level of personality-driven success that a new organization has to have to be strong and focused enough to succeed, but at some point you have to codify the success so that it becomes systemic. I can absolutely tell I'm preaching to the choir with you, Rip. I've been around here long enough to see what your books and website have grown into. There's got to be important mechanism that act not only to keep the magic in the bottle, but to grow it along the way without losing it. It's not just sustainment... it's got to have an element of renewal.
I can't help but think that law enforcement needs some similar way to narrowcast to the right kinds of people. They're few and far between in society, but there are also concentrations of these personality types even in rural areas with almost statistically insignificant populations. Conversely, you have two examples of federal law enforcement: the FBI and the US Marshalls. One corrupted possibly beyond repair, and the other apparently steadfast in its duties and remaining legally and Constitutionally sound.
If I find the magic and bottle it... I'll be sure to give it away for free.
When I said you owe immigrants, I meant immigrants in the last couple centuries, not from 100'000 years ago, but keep ignoring what I said.
I think we are both just being cunts to each other for the sake of it.
I already told you I mainly agree with you, but I pointed out the use of your language which was fairly similar to dangerous ideologies, whereas I did not use such language and specified, as I did other times, I do not affiliate with any political view, so accussing me of being a neo-marxist or a liberal makes no sense. And accusing me of being mentally-ill is just stupid.
It is wrong what's being done to those Dutch farmers, and I still don't think the immigrants are the reason for that.
The main difference is you believe in the functions of the government as legit, I don't.
So you believe the government is allowed to do this because they get votes and approval from immigrants and not from their citizens.
I believe they do this because they have a monopoly on violence and money and there are people who gain a lot of that money from this stuff and use immigrants as a tool, just like they used Covid. The Open Society people for example. Hedge funds. Big banks. Ecc...
Both views are probably true in some ways.
So I don't see any need to keep making this personal. Or should I say a-personal.
my bad.
