I am not on board with any of the globohomo schemes, but I gotta admit, I would eat the bugs. I think crickets might be tasty for some reason.

It really sounds so weird to you that I might arrive to the conclusion that without all the slavery the US would probably not exist? It seems like a pretty important aspect to consider, you can't just dismiss it by saying "well, everyone was doing it".

What would be your simplest answer to "What contributed most in building the US?"

I might have read between the lines, but I got the idea that Yngvi admires the founding fathers, who were slave owners.
This is the Bill Cosby paradox, basically.
Distinguishing between the horrible acts that someone took part in and the important economical/political/whatever heritage they have left.
I don't wish for the cancellation of what these people brought to the table and their contribution.
I am just arguing that slavery played the biggest role and it can't be dismissed just because it was popular.

The United States exists because the Declaration of Independence was written, and the Revolutionary War was fought and won.
Is it your contention that without the institution of slavery that the US would still be a British colony?

Or, going further back, do you mean that European settlement of the New World 500 years ago would not have been viable without having brought over slave labor?

Maybe, but these kind of speculatives are as pointless as discussing what the world would be like if Eleanor Roosevelt could fly. But they do demonstrate your virtuosity in recognizing the contribution of slave labor. If your fellow countryman Cristoforo Columbo and other Europeans had brought your values with them to the New World this land would certainly be different. Same if they just stayed home.

The founding fathers knew ending slavery was impossible at that point in time if their goal to form the United States. The southern colonies economy depended on slavery. Those colonies would not and could not abolish slavery at the time

So they intentionally (this is critical to understand) made no mention of slavery anywhere in the constitution, or the declaration to leave the option to abolish slavery open to future generations.

If you read the founding fathers papers and letters they discuss this very issue in in them.

Europeans have no understanding of The United States and who we are.

Maybe people aren't as hopelessly retarded as I though. Well, people young enough to have children, at least:

The Abysmal Covid Vaccination Rate for Toddlers Speaks Volumes

The lamentation of the journalist for this "problem" is a good reminder that these people are subhuman, and shouldn't receive even of shred of mercy when their judgment comes and their crocodile tears start flowing. Not. A. Shred.

Sorry, the author isn't a journalist, but "Chief health officer of Indiana University". Way to go earning your place below the foot scum of journalists, doctor.

Why aren't we wailing and caterwauling about women too?

Despite her place among the greatest minds of her generation, Abagail Adams was denied a proper education partly because of her status as a woman.

Really, think about this: A 4.6 billion-year-old planet with an 8000-mile diameter, with an atmosphere that is only 50 miles/240,000ft thick (being rather generous), that orbits a star only 93 million miles away with 330,000 times the earth's mass and that emits enough radiation to burn your naked ass in 30 minutes, is having its weather unalterably changed over the course of the next 5/10/15 years (whatever it is now) by the presence of a weak greenhouse gas, CO2, that happens to now be at its lowest level in damn near the entire history of the planet -- a history punctuated by global glaciations while that weak greenhouse gas was far higher than it is now -- and that also happens to be the basis of plant life (and therefore atmospheric oxygen), a gas whose greenhouse effect is dwarfed by that of water vapor (on a planet with a surface area that consists of 70% water), and that geologically is currently in an interglacial period. The models that generated this political bullshit have predicted nothing correctly -- not sea level change, polar ice cover, or weather.

And everybody believes it anyway, to the extent that they are handing the management of the world's economy to elderly megalomaniacs with an agenda based on their own personal power. You're not even allowed to question it -- otherwise sensible people have agreed with the ridiculous premise that CO2 is a deadly poison that must be eliminated from the surface of the earth. Every August, everybody runs around like it's not supposed to be hot. Every time there's a drought, everybody acts like it's the very first time it's been dry too long. "Hurricane season" started in June, and how many hurricanes have devastated the coastlines already inundated by the molten ice caps? How many times over the past 20 years of this shit have the hurricane predictions been correct?

Really, the children are in charge now, seeking validation for "caring about the planet," running around yelling about "carbon" -- the 4th most abundant element in the physical universe --being a deadly poison. Their managers are common criminals whose entire agenda is money and control, and we are letting it happen. It is the result of the shitty science education we received in the government schools, and it probably cannot be stopped.
More on this: Over 1000 Scientists and Professionals Sign Formal Declaration: “There is No Climate Emergency”

Perhaps it is time to consider if the World Climate Declaration, which has been signed by 1,200 climate scientists and related professionals, may be something to seriously consider, promote, and act on. In the document, these scientists affirm that there is “no climate emergency.”

The political fiction that humans cause most or all climate change and the claim that the science behind this notion is ‘settled’, has been dealt a savage blow by the publication of a ‘World Climate Declaration (WCD)’ signed by over 1,100 scientists and professionals. There is no climate emergency, say the authors, who are drawn from across the world and led by the Norwegian physics Nobel Prize laureate Professor Ivar Giaever. Climate science is said to have degenerated into a discussion based on beliefs, not on sound self-critical science.

The scale of the opposition to modern day ‘settled’ climate science is remarkable, given how difficult it is in academia to raise grants for any climate research that departs from the political orthodoxy. (A full list of the signatories is available here.) Another lead author of the declaration, Professor Richard Lindzen, has called the current climate narrative “absurd”, but acknowledged that trillions of dollars and the relentless propaganda from grant-dependent academics and agenda-driven journalists currently says it is not absurd.

Particular ire in the WCD is reserved for climate models. To believe in the outcome of a climate model is to believe what the model makers have put in. Climate models are now central to today’s climate discussion and the scientists see this as a problem. “We should free ourselves from the naïve belief in immature climate models,” says the WCD. “In future, climate research must give significantly more emphasis to empirical science.”
Wake the fuck up, people. This is the hammer, and we are the nails.
