Not if the UN has anything to say about it.

The fact the UN has to say this is actually a good sign. It appears that they are worried about something. Obviously however, they are not worried about peoples lives and the devastation that an energy deficient environment would have on people.

The preferred method these days seems to be catchy phrases. Farm to fork, Fit for 55 and so on. Maybe Coal for 23 or something.

I agree; that was a very appealingly thought about Markle.

The UN is a lame duck at this point. But they have to stick to their lines.

There is no way to influence this either, because everything is happening at a level above yours. The only thing you can do is not fall into a doomer state of mind, try to stay sane. You a natural doomer, so beware.
I'm fond of Camus' take on this. He posited that there is only one true philosophical question, whether or not to kill yourself. And should you choose to live, you should quickly learn to embrace the absurd.

This doesn't mean to support or become complacent about things you find bothersome, but to understand that to accept living you're going to have to come to terms with the idea that life is absurd. You can and should still lead a good and virtuous life and try to change what you see as wrong with the world, just don't despair or fall into nihilism is all.

The uniparty will close ranks to keep this from happening. Nice try, though.
