Doubles team disqualified as errant hit strikes ball girl - ESPN

Is this a tennis problem, a Frenchman problem, a girl problem, or the end of Western Civilization? Watch the video.
Ball girl lifts a ball in-hand, gesturing to the other side, who then gently swipes a ball her way. Ball girl turns away and is pegged in the shoulder. The ball seemed to move relatively slow. Judge was going to let it go. The opposing Czech player objects and asks for disqualification. Judge caves.

I call foul on the judge. Typical absence of backbone. So, end of Western Civilization. We prefer the Long House instead.

It's becoming more difficult every day to find an example of something that makes logical sense.

Face masks to return at Tour de France to limit COVID-19 cases in the peloton | Cyclingnews

Some guy from Plano with one testicle may have been the pinnacle of that sport. I think Europe is permanently off the vacation list.

Denniger writes very entertaining stuff that has veered from Revolution fantasy porn to acknowledging that terrorism, either the economic kind, like dumping tea into harbors, or the actual terrorist kind, like BLM riots, may be the only action-inducing options left:
The Lessons Of 'Woke' in [Market-Ticker]
If physical or economic violence en-masse are some of the only options left, then we have in a sense become either serfs under the rule of a kingdom, a la the British settlers in the early USA, or even actual slaves who must revolt to obtain liberty, a la the slave rebellions in Haiti and elsewhere.
I don't know whether we are actually tax serfs or slaves, or (nearly) absolutely free people, like the Lords/land gentry of 19th century and earlier, but applying the correct label itself to our situation is a purely academic exercise. History is written by the victors and probably mostly moulded (made up) to fit the ruling classes' narratives, so who knows how free anyone ever really even became in the latter half of the last millennia. That's all academic and mostly useless in determining how you want to change or live within the current systems as we have them today

As much as it hurts to accept none of us Westerners (Americans) are really actually "free," this realization will probably help us waste less time on explaining or trying to "fix" perceived injustices rather than just accepting the reality as it is and then focusing the freed-up energy on, one, earning as much as possible to support yourself and your family (any situation, even the COVID one that had business class flyers able to ignore many of the mandates, is much easier to handle as your income increases), and, two, choosing the country (kingdom) in the world that offers the most relative freedom and most closely matches your family and social values.

The fact that there are 430+ million guns in the hands of private citizens in this country must be figured in to the calculus.

An interesting development where I live up north. Although this area is known for tourism and has (in my opinion) a lot of voiceful progressives, the yearly "Pride" month parade in June has been moved to late September, on a much much smaller scale (no closed streets etc).

The chamber of commerce claims this is due to a large number of age-old summer festivals and activities already in place each year, but my guess is the rainbow and BLM mafia wore out their welcome amongst locals and tourists during the "summer of love" in 2020 and beyond.

I refused to patronize any establishment that had the mask signs or the other virtue signaling signs, and I told them regularly I wouldn't be back until the signs were down, and would spend my dollars elsewhere.

Haven't seen a virtue flag or sign yet this year; I guess I wasn't the only one speaking my mind about it...

A while back I was getting lunch with a coworker, and I said "Thanks man" to the bearded dude who took our order, and my coworker said, "I think you just misgendered them" and I was like what... and she said, "The name tag said Janelle." Some would say I wasn't the one doing the misgendering.
