how anonymous is the internet actually? Probably not much, so none of what I will say is not publically available on the lithium Nevada Website, or like my opinion, man.

    Lithium Americas
I've been seeing this "find" drummed up for the last few weeks and its NOT new news. I suspect it's some ghost writing to drum up or secure investments since they have officially started playing in the dirt out there at Thacker and some engineering has started. And of course to garner public support because some this or that environmental group(s) will do whatever they can to *checks notes* sabotage any realistic transition to so called green tech being demanded by the same groups. Afterall, why would we dare try to secure our domestic supply chains?

According to Thacker Pass Lithium Mine - Wikipedia:

The mine is a project of Lithium Nevada, LLC - a wholly owned subsidiary of Lithium Americas Corp, whose largest shareholder is the world's largest lithium mining company, Chinese Ganfeng Lithium.

I Asked AI To Make a Justin Trudeau Campaign Commercial

This has got to be the best piece of AI generated art I've ever seen. It's almost like the AI was able to channel the demon that animates Justin Trudeau's lizard carcass.

    ----

It’s a Sin to Be a Sucker in Israel

This article perfectly describes the oil and vinegar that is mixing high with low trust culture:

A freier, in Israeli eyes, is a shopper who waits in line to pay retail. It is a driver who searches for legal parking rather than pulling onto the sidewalk with the other cars. And if he does this in a rush to file a tax return, he is the consummate freier.

In short, a freier is anyone who cedes ground, plays completely by the rules or allows someone to get the better of him. The ideal Israeli is clever and tough, and a freier is the opposite. A pushover--in the way that Israelis often perceive Americans to be.
In negotiations, an American generally will put his cards on the table, expect the other side to do the same and assume that a happy compromise lives somewhere in the middle. But Israelis and Palestinians do not bargain in this way.

“Both sides believe anything offered up first will be pocketed by the other side,” said the diplomat, who asked not to be identified. “Whenever things break down, this is usually the problem. They will hold out carrots but do not want to give one up until they are sure the other side will give.”
A European nation adopts a foreign culture, and now everyone wonders why the letter of the law is never followed, and why everyone in business and government lies with a boldness that no one could have even imagined a half century ago.

The role of conservatives, moderates, and fence sitters (whether consciously or not) is to convince you that this hasn't happened, to keep playing by the rules, and to keep getting your ass handed to you. In other words, they want you to stay a freier forever, or at least until you have nothing left to be taken.

I'm sure it's a rhetorical question, but if there was any doubt, it's all BLM (Federal) land, shading pink-ish here.

Tim Gurner, an Australian demi-billionaire, recently offered his economic insight at a conference:
"Unemployment has to jump 40 to 50 per cent in my view. We need to see pain in the economy," he said, according to the AFR.
"We need to remind people that they work for the employer, not the other way around.
Even more embarrassing is his obsession with rich-idiot “wellness”: worthless screening tests, polypharmacy, and lunges with 25 lb dumbbells.
I don’t know how much, but I would have spent over $1 million on wellness, testing everything. Anything that is out there, I’ve done it. From micro-dosing mushrooms to infra-red saunas, to steam baths and Oura rings ... lymphatic drainage ... everything. I want to try everything and see what works for me.”
“I get about 250 different tests of my bloods which will say, ‘this month you’re deficient in [vitamin] D, your testosterone is up or down’. Then the physios, dieticians, doctors on call set my regime,” he says. “I take about 50 or 60 tablets a day. It’s always very specific to my latest results.”

FDA has Gone Rogue - by Robert W Malone MD, MS

But Biden, under congressional pressure, had decided and certified that the COVIDcrisis “national emergency” ended May 11, 2023, right? Sort of.

The administrative class at the FDA decided that they have the authority to interpret this in their own special way. Despite clear Congressional intent and the Presidential decision, the FDA responded with a series of delaying tactics. These are summarized in an “action notice” in the Federal Register titled “Guidance Documents Related to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), A Notice by the Food and Drug Administration on 03/13/2023”. At the time of the Presidential declaration, the FDA had 72 COVID-19-related guidance documents currently in effect. These are not law, they are administrative guidance, but often function and are enforced as if they are law. If you are seeking an example of administrative state overreach, this would be a good place to start. So, whats an agency to do? Issue an action notice in the federal register laying out new rules, functionally a guidance on guidances.

I hate to actually say it, but I see where he's coming from. Not in terms of "wellness", that's just the usual concierge type shit designed to milk rich people and make them feel like they are doing much better taking care of themselves than everyone else. His take on the economy is very narrow to his own corner of it, and I think making working people suffer is not the answer, but Jesus is construction one hell of a racket. As a property developer, he probably experiences every project running significantly late and over budget. I worked as a security guard at a large construction site, the amount of shady shit that goes on with big projects is absolutely unreal. The kind of stuff that the mafia used to do on these sites, many contractors have started taking it upon themselves to do instead. It's almost like the mob doing it at least kept it to a manageable level. I don't know if it's the same in Australia, but that's what it's like here in the states.

His idea that immigration is the solution though, is madness. It's not a fix. We already have tons of immigrant labor here in the US doing this work. It does not solve any of the problems. The guy who runs the company doing the contracting just pockets the difference in how much cheaper it is for him to hire those people.
