I am not a fan of the FDA, but see my earlier post. Benadryl, Sudafed and the like will not be banned.

Sudafed PE is a placebo, that’s what this is about.

The overarching point of this glorious thread has been to illustrate how important it is NOT to take any media headline as real.

Shit libs showed their stupidity with things like the “fine people” hoax. They read a headline or heard a talking electronic head say it and bought it.

I find the idea of history cycling from barbarism, to reason, to decadence, and then back to barbarism to be pretty much on the mark. We are definitely in an era of decadence. Barbarism is probably coming next, which will not look at all like "normalcy". What we'd all really love is a return to reason. Reason seems to be the best time to be alive. Barbarism is a little satisfying because decadence sucks for so many reasons, but it will bring entirely new hardships with it that few are prepared to deal with. The wonderful things that reason gave us that have begun to crumble under decadence will fall apart completely under barbarism.

There's a lot of people that have pretty in-depth knowledge over useful practical things here, so I'm sure someone can point out if I'm incorrect in this assessment.

Whilst technological and societal regressions are common, we have advanced to such a high level of technology it may not be possible to reinvent current technologies. All economic activity is a function of energy. And generally speaking, a lot of technologies were initially created from simpler technologies created through the exploitation of easily available resources, which then led to more advanced technologies that allowed for further exploitation of resources.

Case in point, all the surface gold that is salvageable from rivers by simply panning has already been found. Ditto with surface oil wells. There is just no caches of easily accessible resources to mine anymore.
At some point there is a level where if we fall below, we may not be able to re advance past.

This de-civilisation trend is very worrying.

For the nerds amongst us it'll be similar to the Imperium of Man from the WH40k universe, praying to machine spirits that long lost technology works.

Lawsuit filed against the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) regarding its COVID-19 vaccination mandate for employees.

The plaintiffs(anti-mandate) argue that the mandate is unsupported because the survival rate for COVID-19 is high, natural immunity is superior to vaccine-induced immunity, the vaccines are ineffective against the Delta variant, and the CDC has changed the definitions of "vaccine" and "vaccination" to fit the COVID vaccines.

They also claim that the vaccines have a higher incidence of adverse reactions and deaths compared to previous vaccines.

Defendants(Pro-mandate) argues the application of the "Jacobson (1905)" which was a United States Supreme Court case in which the Court upheld the authority of states to enforce compulsory vaccination laws during a smallpox outbreak in 1905.

Listen to this caller gaslight RFK about VAERS and claim he's anti-science and spreading disinformation because he used basic logic per the Lazarus study to extrapolate COVID vaccine deaths.

The Lazarus study was done by Ross Lazarus of Harvard, with Michael Klompas, and they found that vaccine adverse events are unreported to VAERS by a factor of nearly 100. If you keep that study in context and then go look at VAERS currently with the massive increase COVID vaccine deaths and injuries reported, you should be horrified and know that at the very least, the government is being negligent and not adequately evaluating safety.

Even worse with the new booster, RFK explains that they just shut down the other garbage database called V-SAFE as well, which means they are instead actively trying to cover it up, WHICH IS CRIMINAL. But of course the caller doesn't care about any of that. They always assume moral intent and give criminal institutions the benefit of the doubt.

So there is literally no effective system to report adverse events or deaths (by design, intentional), and this caller has the audacity to go at RFK and call him anti-science and a spreader of misinformation for trying to use the systems the government is providing to understand the true risk of death or harm by the vaccine, with proven under-reporting in mind per Lazarus study.

It's so absurd and inverted, and actually anti-science. I hope these callers are bad faith actors and this isn't how they really think, but I think they're just genuinely brainwashed by the MSM and government, living in a false reality and staring at shadows and thinking they're real.

That may be some people's idea. It's not mine, nor is it what I think people need to coexist. Take the smallest infractions (a teen loitering at the corner store being a nuisance) or the largest (the murder of a child.) What does the state offer these victims? Nobody's keeping the teen in jail, he'll be back at that corner the next day. No amount of trial will comfort the child's parents and the possibility of reprieve for the murderer is real. Curtailing my freedom to do a thing will not prevent an actual bad person from doing bad things. Nor does the state deal well when things do go bad. Looking to the state for everything is not the way to solve problems. The power you give them to club the other person over the head will eventually be used to club you over the head.

I had several thoughts prepared in response to this, but I'm much more curious about this: what is your solution to the loitering teen and the murdered child? Who serves the justice, by what means, and to what extent?

And let me be clear: I don't look to the state for everything. That's an exaggeration of my position. I don't believe anarchy and totalitarianism are the only two possible states of government.

I think you are missing the forest for the trees here Jenni. Sloppy people at the grocery store does not equate to societal collapse. And I would argue that most people have always been dumb and unambitious, maybe at 47 years old you're more fully aware of the extent.

Technology. Food. Medicine. Materials. These are all incredibly helpful things that the average individual does not have the independent means to produce on his own. It takes lots of hardworking people to produce this stuff in the quantities society needs day in and day out.

The jury panel in the most recent trial I attended, in federal court no less, wore t-shirts and jeans. No respect for the venue or really for themselves if you ask me. I think the descent into sloppy attire started with the aerobics craze in the 1980s, when people started wearing gym clothes (sweats) everywhere.

It is worrying. But the things the big thinker types are speculating they might be able to do with further advancements are also worrying. You've got WEF types talking about genetically modifying mosquitoes to actually transmit things like mRNA vaccines and other gene modifications of their own into humans that they bite. Are they going to be able to pull this off? It seems like the only thing keeping it from happening is time, and a potential societal collapse between now and then. Government doesn't seem the least bit interested in legislating against this kind of shit. They have already proven worthless at enforcing existing laws against dangerous science.
