This makes no sense. So hire an additional Vice President and a Supreme Court Justice?

    You make an interesting point.

But are we taking people from the population that keeps the economy going, and putting them into the population that keeps the economy from going?

Bureaucracy doesn't need talent, so much as it needs bodies.

"The Pfizer vaccine is contaminated with plasmid DNA, it's not just mRNA, its got bits of DNA in it.
This DNA is the DNA vector that was used as the template for the invitro transcription reaction when they made the mRNA.
I know this is true because I sequenced it in my own lab"

Phd in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
He does cancer genomics research at the University of South Carolina. An expert on which changes to the genome causes cancer. His team is really good at detecting foreign pieces of DNA in places where they are not supposed to be.

Question: "You said that this was nefarious, in what sense are you saying that?"

Dr Lindsay: "The SV40 sequences, they should not be there. They don't need to be there to grow this in bacteria.
I don't think it's an accident. They could have chosen another plasmid that did NOT have the SV40 sequences.
If these sequences sit above an oncogene, and they are promiscuous, that means they are likely to integrate in places, more likely then other generic inserts. Then they can cause cancer."

"..We looked to see endotoxin levels, but they have them all redacted. Why would you redact them if you were trying to be transparent."

"There is something very unusual going on here."

    "Please protect your citizens.
We've got to get one state to stand up and do the right thing."

Dr Janci Lindsay at the Senate hearing in South Carolina.

Diversity hiring is not a sacrifice for competence -- it is in ADDITION to hiring for competence.
vkp78 is correct. If this statement has any basis in reality at all, it's entirely pedantic. And even that is being generous.

You are substituting bare minimum competence for competence in general. You're not even taking into account the trade off of putting extra resources into baby sitting people when they could be used for things that increase efficiency and value. In other words, those resources could have increased competency further.

It's just downright bizarre that you are treating competency like a binary threshold.
    competence
    kŏm′pĭ-təns
    noun

    1. The ability to do something well or efficiently.
    2. A range of skill or ability.
    3. A specific ability or skill.

In case anyone reads this and takes it on face value, this is not at all surprising, in fact I would expect it and the stuff about the SV40 sequence is highly suspect. The stuff about plasmid DNA is hilarious (99.9% of DNA used in all types of research is a plasmid.) Of course bits of it are present. It’s the substrate for recombinant transcription. It’s always present.

There is a very popular and benign cloning vector that uses a tiny piece of the SV40 sequence as a primer (~10 base pair out of thousands) for transcription (along with plasmid DNA!). It is NOT “SV40 DNA” any more than saying a tire is a car.

For anyone new, I am vehemently anti-RNA shot (it’s not a vaccine) so keep that in mind.

My objection to these tweets is not in defense of the shots in any way. But folks who are earnestly speaking up against the shots are getting no help from this.

I do realize I am basing the above on the tweets too and there may be more to the story (I.e. I’d like to see more about the SV40 sequence to prove my point.) But I’m willing to bet there’s not.

Lastly, appeals to authority (by listing credentials) is utterly useless now. Lots of highly credentialed dr’s and scientists say and have said the exact opposite. It’s meaningless now. And don’t get me started on masks pushed by these idiots.

I did get a good chortle out of “ His team is really good at detecting foreign pieces of DNA in places where they are not supposed to be.”

That there is some funny stuff on a few levels.

The irony in this post is amusing.

Everyone here seems be be conflating state and federal government organizations with profit seeking organizations. Hiring, managing, and retaining competent employees matters much more when profit is at stake.

People are watching their assailants go free and even be empowered while others who have done very little to deserve it are experiencing the wrong end of that government initiated violence. That's been the case in small segments for a while but those small segments have increased to the majority of examples.
I don’t know if you’re familiar with the term, but the current state of affairs has been classed as “Anarcho-Tyranny”. Where the criminals are allowed to live in anarchy and the law abiding are tyrannized. Demolition Man actually had a great portrayal of it. “We’re Police Officers, we’re not trained for this level of violence”

But your assertion that equally distributed competence leads to a naturally diverse workforce needs to be normalized for these effects.
Ok. Then in that case I account for differences like that in individual interests and thus not worthy of interference. Fundamentally it doesn't matter why nerdy Guys want to be engineers and hot Girls don't. It matters that we have engineers and bridges don't fall down, and that we have Hotties on instagram and that people can use them to sell their products.

In this case of the supreme Court the spots are limited. So the most recent spot was filled by a Black Woman, not the best candidate. I believe her recent opinions tend to illustrate her competence as a result. The comparisons of words used between her and the other Justices are quite entertaining.

I don’t know enough background stuff to know what this means, but I’m assuming that the presence of SV40 increases cancer? What is a plasmid and what does it do/not do?

Still doesn't support your original assertion. Hiring a diverse workforce requires a diverse interest in that workforce's craft or profession. Think about this.

I didn't say that the cause of this effect matters. You're sidestepping the argument here. Quite lazily, I might add.

    A) I’m generalizing competence in the broadest sense.

    B) I’m explicitly highlighting the extra resources required by hiring for diversity

    C) The statement X>Y is NOT a binary threshold. X>Y has infinite solutions, not two.

In words it is the proposition that hiring for competency produces more competent people than hiring for diversity, everything else being equal.
