Many things are uncertain about the future but the idea that there will come some mythical red line and the tyrants will be "overthrown with the 2nd amendment" is pure fantasy. There will no doubt be civil unrest to some extent but there will not be a clean revolution executed by "Real American Patriots"
Because when the problems are identified, and the thread pulled upon it always runs back through history to end up happening on the boomers watch. And despite the fact that the changes are unprecedented, there has been no reflection, or attempt to pass on knowledge intergenerationally, or even attempt to equip the later generations with the tools necessary to navigate the new world.
Worst of all they don’t seem to care that they are the last of their kind. This is obviously apocryphal but the statement is best summarized by “Wow little Suzy went to school and came back next year as a Boy, how crazy is that? Well what can you do about it?”
I don’t hate Boomers for not knowing how to navigate a world that’s partially changed and not knowing how to best teach the next generation how to engage with it. I hate them for not even caring enough to try. I can talk to someone half my age and relate to their problems, and they will be grateful for what I can tell them based on my experiences, and I can tell them what's new for them. If I talked to someone twice my age about my problems, they wouldn't know where to begin, let alone even understand them.
Australia has an apathetic “She’ll be right mentality” which is easily the worst part of our culture. Boomers are the Australia of the generations.
