    About those rallies...

NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry also spoke to reporters, saying there is "somebody" or "some organization" behind the massive movement where students and other protesters are taking over schools and academic buildings, chanting antisemitic slogans, resisting law enforcement and administrators’ orders to disperse, and getting away with little to no consequences.

"I just want to say, and I said it before, there's somebody behind this movement," Daughtry said. "There is some organization behind this movement. The level of organization that we're seeing in both of these schools and at Columbia."

The deputy commissioner said officers found leaflets with "all the details" provided to the protesters.

"There are leaflets on how to protest or how to commit civil disobedience. There are leaflets on what to do when you get arrested, leaflets on what to say to police," Daughtry explained.

He reiterated: "There is somebody funding this. There is somebody radicalizing our students."

NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell then read one piece of literature that urged students to "occupy the occupiers."

"Enter the temporary autonomous zone from New York to Gaza," another said. "Disrupt. Reclaim. Destroy Zionist business interests everywhere."

"Long live the intifada," read another.

I'm working on this from my angle, but I have yet to come up with anything concrete going forward. As always, the current barriers are funding and a lack of available qualified candidates. I'll be getting into instructor certification this year, and my vision is to build in-house training capabilities to cover the full spectrum of what patrol division could face. The intent is two-fold:

    1) Patrol is out and first on scene. To that end, equip and train patrol with as many "force multipliers" as possible, and ensure consistent and continued work on proficiency. Also continuous refreshers in civil rights and criminal procedure, and not the current required training which is essentially a four hour annual struggle session. Right now, many departments rely on purely tacit knowledge and the one-off basic academy. I'm stealing this theory directly from the special operations community.

    2) Utilize the same training program to continuously monitor and evaluate officers. Act aggressively to correct or remove officers who need it.

Neither of them address the current staffing shortages that are pretty much ubiquitous at this point. Agencies are still keeping warm bodies around, and it leads to absolutely stupid encounters and incidents like this. I'm of the opinion that you get rid of them before there are problems, and if that means dropping the amount of service provided to your community so be it. When people ask "Why is my call for a minor theft holding for 3+ hours?!" then you tell them why: we don't have enough officers to respond in a timely manner.

I cannot describe the frustration of being in law enforcement right now. Starting off your career, or even being in the middle of it, and having public faith in the institution so low is a slippery hill to climb right off the bat. Couple that with having your personal efforts to earn that trust and good will back apparently stripped by one idiot, and it makes for an even lower morale. It's a dysfunctional cycle that needs to be broken, but it may well break most agencies in the attempt. Much like the federal reserve's approach to the economy... they're out of options if they want to take reality seriously.

I hope this family gets some financial restitution from a civil suit. This is certainly an instance where it was deserved.

You just can't get this thread out of your head, can you? "Living rent free", indeed.

But if one were to censor oneself for fear of offending the homos, wouldn't that more properly be called homophobic?

This is a refreshing change from the typical cries of "everything is White supremacy", "everything is racist" and "everything is anti-semitic".

I believe your efforts will be best spent elsewhere; training is not going to fix the problem in any amount.
A bad cop with training is still a bad cop.

Who decides on the definition of "acting aggressively" or when it is enforced?
The procedures will soon be selectively applied to target good officers for political purposes while letting bad officers off the hook.

The officer who assaulted that teenage girl and violated her 4th amendment rights deserves a minimum of 10 years in jail; a civil suit is not enough.

I assumed you guys must know this already, but Soros is funding the pro-Palestinian protesters (yes, the staunch jewish zionist, israel supporter and BLM founder)

If you know anyone in college, tell them to stay away from it.
The frat kids counter-protesting are being recruited as useful idiots.
It is all fabricated and it is happening globally now.

    Expect:
A large cyberattack that will be blamed on Russia. (Cyberpolygon exercise)
A new internet system that will not allow communications like this thread.
    Attempted implementation of CBDCs.
False flag attacks on Jewish Americans that will be blamed on White supremacists and Muslims.
Attacks on Muslims and communists that will be blamed on White supremacists.
Attempts to institute martial law or new lockdowns due to "civil emergency"
Increased lawfare censorship, like the israeli attack on free speech in America in the "Antisemitic Awareness Act"

However, the events will not be severe enough to disrupt the United States' ability to continue funding and providing troops for the wars in Ukraine and israel.

They didn't have an opinion to start with (see above). Which also means there is no evidence to support the assertion contrary to yours.

The only evidence is the votes cast, and they represent a minority of the voters. I think it's fair to debate about whether this represents democracy, or a degeneration of it.

David, what are your thoughts on qualified immunity? It seems if the only consequence for a bad apple is getting reassigned or transfered that doesn't really address the underlying issue.

I think Yngvi is spot on regarding good cops leaving the force for less shitty jurisdictions, leaving behind the bad apples. Politics probably plays a role as well.

We don't have a local police force here; the county Sheriff's department handles the calls. They don't typically target citizens with speed traps or other fishing expeditions. Maybe because the sheriff is actually elected that makes a difference? There's almost no crime here anyway, so that might be a factor too.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on the subject.

    Mike

You stated it as though it was certain that only 33% wanted the split. My response is that we don't know that. All we know is that the majority of those who came out to vote did want it. Which is the point of "democracy" for what it's worth. I don't find this odd. Byram fought over being annexed by Jackson for over a decade. I would have been in that percentage of non-voters because I didn't live in Byram and thus felt my opinion was invalid. I also had friends that did live there but didn't care- saw it as "6 in one hand and a half dozen in the other." I can imagine it being a similar situation there. My point was that it seems the left, the activist types, wish to apply principles only when and if it suits them. Your point seems to be that it's only democracy if everyone votes. I see no particular value to uninterested parties having a say.

In other news, the protests at Ole Miss had some organization behind it. Outsiders came in and brought signs, fencing, and pallets of water. While Blackrock has invested millions in bonds here.

More great news, local radio will be as pozzed as local TV:

I also believe that his son (Alex Soros) is dating Huma Abedin, hillary's lapdog.

There was a certain threshold that I passed a while back. I had wishes that I lived in America because there's always good parts to go too that are better than anywhere else in the world, and you always have basic rights that you don't get anywhere else. If I had a magic wand I would no longer transport myself and my family to rural America.

I agree and feel the same. It was my dream as a young man. I have family in Kentucky.

This crisis of legitimacy is happening in all places governed by the Western regime. Might as well stay where I belong and ride it out as best I can, as the grass really isn't greener.
