If you mean like Canada, that's why my Canadian relatives travel to the USA whenever they need something important done.

I mean like anywhere really. There are nuances, but a mixed public private healthcare system always ends up a mess. It’s not necessarily that you the public option is bad, but the waiting times are unacceptably long because the system is clogged by hypochondriacs and geriatrics, so you end up paying both for the public healthcare and for your own procedures, often abroad.

How long before this is mandated in prisons?

Or Italy. Except, Italy is very odd in that there isn't a lot of border jumping for treatment despite the absolute decrepit conditions of the hospitals. Somehow, you have access to really, really good doctors, like international specialists, despite the socialization. That or my family over there has exceptional insurance.

This is why the service cannot be "free." Clogging happens when there is no consequence to demanding unnecessary services, not so much by the elderly but by homeless and useless people, the kind who call the ambulance when they bruise their knees, and who never pay for any of it.

Floyd was indeed all of that. Even so, when he used passive resistance when put in the patrol vehicle, proning him out and kneeling on his neck was the wrong response. Just haul his big ass up and shove him in the back seat with whatever additional restraints might have been needed on him. Including fastening his cuffs to something solid and bolted to the frame of the vehicle. Then drive off to the nearest lock up with him.

Done. Non-lethal. Out of sight of all the video cams and phones, which only made what WAS done look worse.

"In particular, a covert compulsory program promotes values such as liberty, utility, equality, and autonomy better than an overt program does."

There's still liberty so long as we're only PRETENDING we're not drugging away your capacity for free thought! If I saw villains in a movie talking like this I'd call it an unrealistic cliche. I guess I'm wrong now. I guess that's just "bioethics". I need to take something to make my brain stop hurting.

Something tells me little Cannon Hinnant isn't going to be given gold casket, and there won't be any protests in his name either.
Antifa supporter AG Keith Ellison I'm guessing has purposely overcharged the officers. He is not going to get anyone on any charge that requires proving intent, and I can't possibly believe that he thinks he can. More riots will be forthcoming and hopefully the millions and millions of guns sold since the previous ones are widely used to put them down as the public now knows that the police will not be doing so and will be prepared this time.

Oh that video was held onto by the media for a month. They purposely allowed everyone to think what happened was different than what did and it resulted in death and destruction. They truly are the enemy of the people.

And no, the media, BLM, antifa or politicians don't give a damn about Cannon. A tiny proportion of his ancestors might have done something bad based on 2020 standards so he had it coming: Ariel Atkins, BLM Chicago organizer, says looting is 'reparations': 'Businesses have insurance' - Washington Times.

Ha, useless people is probably the best description.
