DOJ is considering investigation of Governors Cuomo, Murphy, Wolf, and Whitmer.
The Civil Rights Division seeks to determine if the state orders requiring admission of COVID-19 patients to nursing homes is responsible for the deaths of nursing home residents.

He and his armed militia were protecting private property from destruction by the rioters (including a gas station). He was exercising his right to keep and bear arms, and was acting in accordance with the absolute rights of personal security, personal liberty and private property. Isn't that the whole idea behind your nation? If Americans don't loudly support this young lad, then it's all for naught.

Good, there is no other way we could possibly be rid of Cuomo. We need him gone before he decides to start naming landmarks after himself.

This is the first time I've seen this objection raised anywhere. Which article(s) do you think would need to be amended for Unity 2020 to be constitutional?

WTH is this 2A of ours supposed to be if you can't protect your property with it (kid here protecting stores from looting), your home and then your life (Zimmerman), or your home from looters (husband and wife lawyers sitting down to dinner)?

Who cares if these three are/were found not guilty, or charges we're dropped? Just being charged with these crimes is so expensive that the Left is, through the Administrative branch, making our 2A like a right to OWN arms, kept on a pretty mantle in your home, maybe to be fired into the air from your porch to scare off rioters, as Biden once boasted.

It just really sucks that the Radical Left holds so many levers of power in our institutions and society. And what in the hell can be done about it at this point? 🤔

This actually makes sense of a lot of things. It seemed truly absurd that the media and the Left were holding up Cuomo et al as saints who handled this situation perfectly, when the reality is they're the only ones who took deliberate steps that objectively resulted in maximizing the death count. But knowing an investigation was forthcoming, this all makes sense. Cuomo's bluster about how great he is and how terrible Republicans are, and the hagiographies of him pushed by the media, have made him a darling of the anti-Trump Left and have given him a lot of political strength which might be necessary to withstand such an investigation. He is now a hero of the Left, and ceteris paribus you're much better off in his situation if you're endeared to half the country than otherwise.

By the time a firearm is deployed and pointed at you or your partner (which is the point where you'll actually see it's a firearm), you can't stop at least a few rounds that are going to be headed towards you. And if the guy is skilled, you are likely gonna be dead before you get a round off. This is the reality officers are faced with.

Right on point. This teenager was from Illinois. He intentionally placed himself in this situation with no apparent skin in the game and then killed people. Not exactly the McCloskeys.

Given BJJ's predisposition to take a fight to the ground, their particular approach is beyond ill-advised. Rolling around on the ground and hugging it out with a gun, taser, pepper spray, or baton on your gun belt is not a recipe for officer survival. Particularly if the bad guy has a knife somewhere on their person.

Gauleiter Pritzker of Illinois did the same thing. But given the already intensive Federal investigation, arrests, grand juries, and sentencing of the dem criminal conspiracies in this state, perhaps DOJ doesn't want to overburden that process or start a new one.

Can Governor Pritzker of the former great State of Illinois be added to the list? The percentage of deaths with/from COVID-19 from nursing homes continues to increase (52% for the Chicago area and 73% for the rest of the state), while we get threatened with more timeouts and more mask rules from Dear Leader. Here's a new one: you must have your mask on when interacting with waitstaff in a restaurant or bar. I'm done with dining in until this is over. The insanity continues.

Apparently even the New York Times is admitting that Kyle Rittenhouse did not fire the first shot:

    https://twitter.com/trbrtc/status/1298840777251008512

A few tweets from this Twitter thread from this verified NYT guy, which includes several videos:

At 23:19, Rittenhouse is seen in this YouTube livestream. He's being chased into a parking lot. While he is being pursued, an unknown gunman fires the first shot into the air.

Rittenhouse turns toward the sound of the gunfire as another pursuer lunges toward him. He then fires four times with his assault rifle, and appears to shoot the man in the head.

The initial shot and Rittenhouse’s four subsequent discharges of his AR-15-style weapon are followed by three more shots in the parking lot — we don’t know who fired them. Rittenhouse seems to make a phone call and then flees the scene.

While fleeing from the scene, Rittenhouse is again chased by several people. He trips and falls to the ground and fires four shots as three people rush him. One person appears to be hit in the chest, while another, who is carrying a handgun, is hit in the arm.

Police vehicles just one block away remain stationary during the gunfire. Rittenhouse walks with his hands up toward the police, as bystanders call out that he was involved in the shooting. The police drive by him to the scene of the shootings, without stopping.

One thing I saw him do was that there was another guy who had been coming at him, but when he shoots the other 2 guys that guy backs off, and Rittenhouse has the discipline not to shoot someone who has broken off pursuit.

I think that the people of NY got what they voted for. You want the DOJ to be the parents? The Feds should not do this for them, nor should they correct the situation in Portland, Seattle, or any other Democrat shithole. I say he stays in office until he dies, and NY gets what they voted for. It's very important that they learn from experience, which they have yet to do.
