I may be misunderstanding your point (some irony perhaps?), but this would not involve exports. More like imports. In any event the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are what govern exports and they fill a shelf or so of thick volumes, including software.

We are learning that election machine software produced in Venezuela and elsewhere was used in many of the tight swing state races. Particularly in the blue urban areas of those states.

Dems have been bemoaning possible foreign interference and IT shenanigans in elections for at least since Diebold systems and software were in the mix for about 10 years now.

Our current election system is part of our Federalist system of governance. In this instance, each state and locality is not subject to the dictates of DC in how they run their elections. Given that, the kind of national security concerns that drive IT policy on weapons, defense, and other systems does not get filtered down to the states.

All the above said, does anything about this strike anyone else besides myself with some significant questions and concerns about how this current election was run? My question is particularly directed to leftist True Believers who insist that these are not the droids you are looking for.
There are many things that should be easy for them to demonstrate as false. For example, there's the current boiling bombshell with the story of outsiders being able to network into the machines and track and manipulate results. It should be easy to demonstrate the machines have NO network interface, wired or WIFI. If these machines even HAVE a network interface, as far as I'm concerned security has been breached, regardless of any other evidence. Results should not be transmitted over ANY network, they should be stored in removable storage media. Said media should be 100% proprietary, no hardware interface that exists for any other product should be used. If any of these basic requirements are not met, these machines should be thrown in the fucking trash immediately.

Mark the software designed to count votes has been used in other countries to test its results before it was used in one of the biggest democracies in the world namely the US. The problem is it looks like it has been caught this time with its fingers in the cash register.

Very interesting. It seems that heads should roll, yet heads are not rolling. They never do.

Johnny America on Gab: 'This is PA. This is what the PA supreme court ap…' - Gab Social Those are observers having to use binoculars because they are so far away. Kinda defeats the purpose but it's technically letting them "observe". This is the bullshit we're dealing with. People who wrote the laws and know how to play the system they designed.

Looks like someone pulled some kind of leverage on them, after that story came out they very quickly reversed course and certified unanimously. This was hours after the initial refusal.

You mean that the Wayne County Board of Canvassers has now certified the elections results, reversing their previous refusal?

That's what the current story is.

I don’t know. My focus is on the potential of American votes leaving US territory, per an earlier point. If votes were in fact stored in non-US sections of the Amazon cloud, and if that were not illegal, it would seem to be an oversight of our export law, since votes are part of our national security.

Eventually the trespass against our voting system rises to treason.
