2020 has seen so many dystopian fictions come true in some respect, it's gonna cap off with the Manchurian Candidate in the White House. The next four years are likely not going to be a marked improvement over this one.

Some of the follow on responses here make me question the self proclaimed rationality of a few people here. It may even be worse than the obedient mask lemmings.

Trump at the Rubicon - Contemplations on the Tree of Woe
Of the four provisions, the most recent and the most powerful is 10 USC § 253, which was written in 2006. This is the one that liberal pundits always forget to mention when they blab about Posse Comitatus and governors. It reads:

The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy, if it-

so hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or

opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.

    That’s powerful language! Consider:

The authority is vested solely in the President. He does not need the invitation of state governors to intervene, nor does he need the approval of the Supreme Court. Older provisions of the Insurrection Act required either a governor or a judicial proceeding to authorize its use, but these limits were purposefully removed by Congress in § 253.

There is no time limit on the President’s activities. Older versions of the Insurrection Act limited the use of force to brief periods of time and then required legislative approval. Those limits, too, are also gone.

The President is allowed to use any means that he (and again, he needs no one else) considers necessary. This includes using the armed forces (which enables him to bypass the Posse Comitatus Act) and using the militia (which we’ll discuss in more detail below).

The President’s ability to use force isn’t restricted to actual rebellion or insurgency. He can act against merely unlawful combinations and conspiracies. To be clear: If the President decides that a conspiracy has deprived people of a right and believes that authorities fail or refuse to protect the right, he can send in the troops.

In blunt terms, Congress has given the power to President Trump to proclaim:

“I, President Trump, have determined that a conspiracy has deprived 70 million Americans of their right to vote and that the other authorities are refusing to protect this right. I therefore order the suppression of this conspiracy by any means necessary.”

And with that, Trump will cross the Rubicon.
If he does this, the cold civil war goes hot. Most people are not ready for this.

Qanon has done of a good job of getting people to question the propaganda.
However, many people have theorized from the beginning that Qanon is really a pysop campaign designed to convince the 2nd amendment supporters to remain passive.

What conclusion should you come to if the Supreme Court is afraid of the unrest that could be caused by hearing a case, but not afraid of the unrest that could be caused by ignoring blatant fraud?
People are pacified thanks to the FED propping up the markets keeping everything stitched together. Then we will have a new "stimulus" just enough to keep the mob at bay. Social unrest the likes of which will cause a civil war is never tied to just political issues it's always economic issues. When this bubble either bursts, or the outrageous inequalities it has created, and is just getting started by the way, becomes really well understood by the masses then you may have a spark. Until then, we have ski season starting, then pitchers and catchers reporting, and spring will bring some nice weather, trips to the beach, vacation, outdoor dining might open!!. Civil war sounds so exhausting and bothersome......who can be bothered with that.

They're such a bunch of cunts. It's like they want to try extra hard to rub people's faces in it.

I’m not sure which pisses me off more the actual tyrants or the citizens that snitch and scream that it’s your “civic duty” to close down “for the good of us all”.

It is absolutely not my civic duty to sacrifice my own well being for the well being of my fellow man.

It seems like throughout Trump's term, he was constantly being baited into war: North Korea (he defused), Floyd Riots and CHAZ (he didn't take the bait -- didn't invoke Insurrection Act), Coronavirus (I think this was a biowarfare attack), Iran hostilities, etc. Hard not to think that some foreign (or perhaps domestic) adversary is trying to destroy the US via multiple attack vectors. The question is: who and why?

Civil war doesn't seem good for the US, but I don't see a way around it at this point. If Trump believes election fraud occurred, he's basically backed into a corner and it's either concede or escalate. Although, maybe it could be good for the US: wasting all of the socialist morons could make the country better in the long run. If democrats, Antifa, BLM etc are wiped out, we'd have our country back, so I don't actually see a downside to this....?
