Better read it before it's censored by Medium. I wonder why she placed it there. And these people better get this freedom-of-speech thing under control pretty quick, before Spacediver determines that it might cause problems for his plans.

Unintended consequences, or merely collateral damage?

And what about the kids? Children at a far higher risk from delayed or deferred care than they are from COVID, which poses almost no statistical risk to children. Still, pediatric procedures performed at Children’s Hospitals are included in the elective ban, as well. Minor procedures like hernia repairs, ear tubes, and tonsillectomies have been canceled, in addition to more life-saving surgeries, including kidney transplants. A 7-year-old boy in Washington suffering kidney failure has been put on dialysis indefinitely since his transplant was canceled in March. And he’s not alone. Another 16-year old boy is making the same mandated sacrifice. And these are just two cases unearthed by the media.

There are 120,000 elective pediatric surgical admissions per year. Every month the lockdown is extended, roughly 10,000 children in the United States, who are, again, at negligible risk for COVID, will have their surgeries indefinitely delayed or canceled.

The volume of neglected patients is substantial and includes patients now waiting to have brain tumors removed, transplants rescheduled, cancer excised, and pain eliminated.

Thousands more arrests and disappearings lately.

This man, "Honorable" Christopher Murray" who apparently is on the Board of Advisors, Michigan Chapter of the Federalist Society, has just ruled that Michigan Gov Whitmer's house arrest orders are just and proper.

If only these judges could actually be voted out of office when they do not uphold their legal or constitutional obligations.

Every day, one of the few remaining shreds of faith I have in our "leaders" or our deformed political system gets pissed on, then burned to ashes.

In case anyone still had doubts about what this is actually about, now you can hear it from the thieves' mouths.

Sounds about right. It's going to be months before anything happens to these people, if anything even does.

Its not just america. In my country of 5m people, we are still pretty heavily locked down (5 weeks and counting) with 17 total deaths and IIRC 6 cases still in hospital (what is the rest of the hospital capacity doing?) and 200 active cases quarantined at home. We are down from a high of nearly 100 new cases per day to 2 or 3 for the last few days. Lockdowns are starting to ease, and it looks like we are internationally recognised for doing a great job on this.

While I support our Governments power to do this (dont have same constitutional arrangements as US), Im most worried about a second outbreak ‘needing’ a second lockdown and the willingness to do this again if something far more virulent came along in the future.

I listened to Maine's CDC press conference today and found it pretty disappointing. The majority of the director's superfluous speech was spent on the google numbers. The other majority was spent on how people who aren't working will be paid. It was even addressed if those who didn't want to return to work (like dentist) could still receive unemployment, which is apparently a case by case scenario.

One of the two noteworthy questions. Was whether or not the state was actively pursuing antibody testing. The roundabout answer was that antibody tests are not accurate and therefore we do not want to waste too much time on them. And that the PCR test was what they are currently concentrating their efforts on. Attached to this was the side note that they are actively pursuing the discovery of outbreaks....

The other question of any significance was whether or not there is a "whistleblower" hotline for the residents to call and if the denizens would be provided protection against retribution. Very unsettling.

Nothing was said about any opposing views or progress or new developments in understanding of the virus.

Face mask become mandatory tomorrow, including playgrounds and parking lots. Yay.

Once again, you posted concrete, conclusive evidence of your claims from a site that caters to far-right conspiracy theorists. You are a fucking idiot and it's amusing how much you question others sources when this is the type of bullshit you read, find insightful, and post to support your claims. To be clear you are a fucking idiot.
