The "Second Wave" is now the thing we must be afraid of, since the First Wave didn't quite do the job. Fear is necessary for obedience by the farm animals, and the media's job, as I pointed out yesterday, is the maintenance of the fear of death from a disease that only kills people in the "dying already" demographic. This is not about a virus, never has been, as we see now. It is about what you will do when you are told to do it. The virus is the tool. This is apparent to most of us here on this board.

Two more projects for these people on the horizon: free expression (like this) and private ownership of guns both present a problem.

The mayor of East Peoria has done likewise, and these are only the ones I know of at this time. Some RUMINT indicates spot fires like this springing up elsewhere in the outer and lower rural communities and counties. Many of which had already declared themselves 2nd Amendment sanctuaries from dem overreach from the capital in Springfield.

Pritzker has began to walk back his earlier monolithic approach to treating the entire state like Chicago, but not offered many specifics as yet. It should be noted that despite all of his sweating the shortage of ventilators and hospital beds, the field hospital set up in McCormick Place is now being taken apart having had very few overflow patients. There was also no shortage of ventilators. Pritzker and his tame lab rats are attributing this to their wisdom in the house arrest measures.

It remains to be seen what this might translate to politically in this state. It is unlikely to alter the deeply embedded dem DNA in Chicago and Crook County, but if the collar counties around Chicago flip red, it seems likely the executive branch of this state will do likewise. The legislative branch is a tossup at best.
Illinois governor shuts down 'reprehensible' question about wife leaving town despite stay-at-home order

“Specifically, the first lady has been spending time at their $12-million equestrian estate in Wellington, just down the horse trail from Bruce Springsteen, Bill Gates and Billy Joel, the family purchased shortly after J.B. was elected governor last year,”

How dare you ask the governor why the house arrest only applies to the peasants, and not the royal family.

Jelly Belly pritzker needs to be the 5th illinois governor in prison.

‘This is really about survival.’ Gym owner re-opens despite state order

This guy needs our support. SS Denver and SS Houston are open too. But again, DO NOT TALK TO THE MEDIA.

The Second Wave is really a Second Wave of FEMA dollars out of thin air. They all want their monopoly money.

Agreed. Scared people are easier to control, and this manufactured virus crisis has been the greatest tool in the last 70 years for getting us to not just give up our liberties, but BEG the Benevolent Overlords to take them from us. To shamelessly quote Dostoevsky...."In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet, and say to us, Make us your Slaves, but feed us."

Private firearm ownership is less a problem than many folks think it is, given our digital age. They won't need to go door to door....how difficult would it be for a tyrannical state to simply freeze your assets on some pretext? The pretext doesn't matter. Turn in your guns if you want to eat. A whole lot of people, maybe even most of us, would do it if it meant keeping our children from starving. Here's hoping things don't get to that point, but it's closer than we think it is or want to admit. I am beginning to no longer recognize the country I grew up in.

It is uncanny how if you listen to the rhetoric coming from the powers that be, you can decode their game plan. The term "second wave" has been bantered around a bit over the last few months but now has moved to forefront.

Our governor (WA state) just extended the stay at home order until 5/31 with the caveat that "we will reassess then." This in a state of 8 million with 14k confirmed cases and 800 deaths. The number of cases has been level since early April.

As long as JB has illinois closed and in a state of emergency, hes open to potential funds from the federal government. They just so happen to be asking for 41 billion dollars, which ironically would really help the bankrupt pension program, that corrupt politicians have been kicking down the road for decades.

But no no, it's not about that! Its about staying home, staying safe, and saving lives! #flattenthecurve

Yes rip, we elect some real stand up guys. Jelly belly and his trusty sidekick Lori Lightfoot are absolute cream of the crop.

As they say, never let a good crisis go to waste

In the final analysis, the infection fatality rate (IFR) and the case fatality rate (CFR) are irrelevant distractions. The only statistic that actually matters to anyone is the death count from COVID-19/population of the area in question. And even this is bullshit because they are lying about who died from COVID-19 and who didn't. For example, the planet now has a death rate from COVID (DRC19) of 0.003402%. Wichita County has a DRC19 of 0.00152%. NYC, the Epicenter of the virus in the US, has a DRC19 of 0.2250%, with all the games being played there with death coding. California DRC19 is 0.00524%. And so on. But this is not discussed, because it brings home the pointlessness of seeing this as a pandemic.

    Washington's DRC19 is 0.01052%

Your DRC makes COVID-19 seem worse than it actually is. It has caused discernible excess mortality (i.e. DRC is fairly high), but only because it’s very infectious.
