The party that denies a human the right to life because the human has not left the womb, and in some cases are fine with murdering the infant if the mother so desires.
The party that uses global cooling (1970s)/global warming (1980s)/global Climate Change (today) to bolster their power over every human being on earth with no evidence just a bunch of models and their favorite refrain "the science is settled" as if that is supporting evidence of anything.
The party that uses a pandemic to deny the constitutional rights of its citizens.
They control the education industry, the education industry heavily controls science and the media disseminates it, people take it at face value without in fact knowing what occurred/didn't occur in the labs where said science took place. Then they turn around and criticize religious textbooks claiming "no evidence," "not plausible," "not measurable" when 75% of peer reviewed studies are non-reproducible. More importantly, they want you to assume that what has been written in the journal is in fact what occurred in the lab. So in the end professional research is heavily faith based despite them referring to it as "science." In a sense "Science" vs Religion is in fact Religion vs Religion.

Professor Neil Ferguson of Imperial College London responsible for the COVID-19 modelling resigns. Why? Because he’s a fucking hypocrite. GAME OVER. Full on 100% ignoring every UK government guideline on COVID 19 now. Bring it on.

    The party of 63 genders...

Honestly, there is plenty of scientific ignorance to go around. This board can point to plenty of the egregious claims of nutritional and fitness science.

In any case, the accusation of “scientific denial”, and more recently, the ownership of “science based” policy is clearly a well thought out DNC strategy.

I am not savvy when it comes to history, Mr. Hurling can weigh in, but it seems like the inquisition, witch hunting, and the Holocaust, all had a perverted component of “science” they hid behind and used to generate fear.

But here we are in 2020 arresting people for going to the beach backed by science. Anyone care to deny that?

Let's look at the mistakes these protesters made and learn from them. This is part of being smart about the situation:

    1. The protesters willingly allowed the police to arrest them. The protesters may have assumed that the law will help them in the court system; We must assume it will not. In a police state, the law is not important and many of the judges do not care about the law either.

The police do not have lawful authority to enforce unconstitutional edicts. Do not act like you have done something wrong, because you have not.

Do not allow yourself to be arrested as a martyr; You will not be able to do any good siting in jail.

    2. Numbers. If you are participating in one of these protests, be there in large numbers and do not allow yourselves to be divided.

The police had no fear of this small handful of protesters, so they felt comfortable coming after them. Contrast this to the larger protests in places like Michigan, where only one protester was arrested (likely after being divided and distanced from the main group of protesters).

    3. Anonymity. The protesters took no measures to protect their identities.

Unfortunately, we live in a word where the police may use camera systems, Artificial Intelligence and photo databases to comb through events after the fact, then attempt to arrest you on a bogus charge even months later.

Wear your masks like good boys and girls. After all, you are only concerned about your safety and the safety of everyone around you.

The object of his affection: a corruption of "Stats".

On at least two occasions, Antonia Staats, 38, travelled across London from her home in the south of the capital to spend time with the Government scientist, nicknamed Professor Lockdown.

Well you've done it now. Like saying Candyman three times.

The inquisition was not based on science, it was adherence to Catholic orthodoxy. Except when it wasn't in Spain, where it was mostly about cleaning out the Jeeeewwsss. In any event, science or scientism played little or no role in the pursuit by God's Hounds (the Domincans) of the unfaithful.

Witch hunting was loosely based on semi-scientism. At least in the sense that there were common characteristics that the religious authorities, both Catholic and Protestant mind you, looked for when rooting out witchy practices and behaviors. Not that many of these common characteristics necessarily indicated anything other than a neighbor ratting you out on made up information because she didn't like that you (assuming another woman here) were too good looking for her husband to resist looking at you. Does this ratting out thing seem suddenly familiar just now? In a few cases it crossed paths with the Inquisition where orthodoxy was not adhered to because of lingering Celtic practices or what were termed heretical sects like the Albigensians in France.

But the Holocaust was pure (you should forgive the term) scientism laced with ooga-booga distilled and promulgated by Himmler and his minions from centuries of German mythos and prejudices. Himmler just found some pliable scientists and funded them to put lipstick on as many pigs in that herd of as he could. Kinda like the environmental movement depends on funding for it's special brand of swine.

    Agreed.
Though there is another factor that doesn't get a lot of attention.
To the left, if your research is backed (paid for) by the government it is deemed righteous and good. However, if your research is funded by private (gasp, corporations) funds, then the research is by default tainted and cannot be trusted, as if a corporation would not do research in a scientifically rigorous way.
What nobody on the left will ever acknowledge is the monopoly Government and Academia have on research, if you want to get research money, your research must be in line with "the consensus" otherwise you have no hope of getting funded. In my humble opinion if government and academia are going to be doling our research funds then there needs to be a dollar for dollar ratio for research, meaning for every global warming conformist research grant there needs to be as much money going to the skeptic.

President John Magufuli said on Sunday the imported test kits were faulty as they had returned positive results on a goat and a pawpaw — among several non-human samples submitted for testing, with technicians left deliberately unaware of their origins.

He did not say where the kits had been imported from or why the authorities had been suspicious of the results.
