Anyone who's performed even a cursory glance at the Science-And-Data (or, alternatively, Data-And-Science) would know that there's zero evidence our "mask" usage does anything to curb the spread of this virus. If everyone was supplied with high-grade, well-maintained and consistently disinfected masks, it would likely help. But that doesn't include semi-covering your mouth with a cheap disposable mask with days' worth of accumulated bacteria and germs.

The mask thing has so obviously turned into a form of petty virtue signaling. It shows "I care," and for business owners I suppose it tells customers "We care, and you are safe here." This is anecdotal but I'm sure it's not a coincidence that my Democrat-voting/leftist friends on Facebook/Twitter are the ones who've changed their profile pictures to shots of themselves wearing masks.

I believe there exists an alternative timeline where forcing your kids to wear masks while riding bikes in a small mtn town on a beautiful sunny day...will earn you a visit from Child Protection Services and the Health Department. At least they would be honoring their agency names

I hope to sleep soon, and when i awaken i shall be in that timeline instead of this black mirror dystopia.

I hope to see all of you strong people there

Meet Dr. Carol Baker. She was chair of the CDC's advisory committee on immunization practices. She worked on the recommendation for continued flu vaccination of children 6+ months and pregnant women, and an additional cocktail of tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis booster vaccines during pregnancy too. The woman really likes her vaccines. Below this article about her, is a video of her from 2009, talking about how to create wider acceptance of vaccinations in the general population. Just listen to the language she uses and let it sink in. Also, bear in mind as you listen to her words, she is a pediatric disease specialist who worked at a Texas children's hospital.

Taken from an article about her from about the same time as the video:

HOUSTON, TX (Oct. 19, 2009) - Carol J. Baker, M.D., the executive director of Texas Children's Center for Vaccine Awareness and Research, has been appointed to serve as Chair of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by Kathleen Sebelius, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services. Dr. Baker previously served as a member of the committee; her appointment is effective immediately and continues through June 2010.

Well known for her work in both immunization research and education, Dr. Baker serves as professor of pediatrics and of molecular virology and microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine and is the Texas Children's Hospital Foundation Chair in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.

"I am honored to accept this important position at a time when continued education and research on immunization practices in our country is so imperative," said Dr. Baker. "Vaccines have significantly diminished the impact of numerous serious diseases, yet many children and adults are under-immunized and exposing themselves to unnecessary health risks. It is vital that the medical community continues research on vaccine delivery methods and education programs on vaccine safety - all working toward increasing immunization levels in the U.S."

Among her responsibilities as Chair of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), Dr. Baker will lead the committee's annual three meetings and represent ACIP at federal advisory meetings including the National Vaccine Advisory Committee and the Board of Scientific Councilors to CDC.

Dr. Baker's work has focused on all aspects of pediatric infectious diseases, particularly all aspects of group B streptococcal infections including research to develop a vaccine. Her policy work in the early 1990s led to the U.S. recommendations for intrapartum chemoprophylaxis to prevent early-onset group B streptococcal disease in neonates. In 1997, Dr. Baker was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award and in 2007 of the Distinguished Physician Award, each from the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society. In 2001 she served as President of the Infectious Diseases Society of America. In 2008 she received the Distinguished Alumna Award from Baylor College of Medicine and in 2009 the John P. Utz Leadership Award from National Foundation for Infectious Diseases.

A widely published researcher in pediatrics and infectious diseases, Dr. Baker has authored or co-authored more than 300 published studies, reviews and book chapters. She is also an associate editor of the 2000, 2003, 2006 and 2009 Red Book published by the American Academy of Pediatrics and an editor of Infectious Diseases of the Fetus and Newborn Infant (6th edition).

Most recently, Dr. Baker co-authored the book Vaccine-Preventable Disease: The Forgotten Story published this year.

Dr. Baker received her medical degree, completed her residency and held fellowships in the department of pediatrics, infectious disease section at Baylor College of Medicine. She was a research fellow in medicine at Harvard Medical School and a clinical fellow in medicine at Boston City Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Baker received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.

Like one glance at the average micron size of sars-cov-2 and the filtering capabilities of n95 masks? Seems to be about as effective as sneezing through a chain link fence.

There's not too many new things being said. We need to start figuring out a way for everyone who opposes everything that has happened in recent months to connect on a shared platform. This is a great start, but it's still too niche.

Being able to quickly group together and stand united will be the only way to prevent this type of drastic event from unfolding, next time. And there needs to be a way to organize this at a local, state, and national level.

What are the contingency plans for those of us unwilling to relinquish our civil rights? Where will we gather to take a stand? How can businesses unite locally to make a louder statement in their community?

What would it have looked like if half of the business owners on a block all agreed to not close doors/reopen on the same day? Half of the business owners in a town? County?

I looked up the Supreme Court case Dershowitz mentioned in the full interview (Jacobson vs. Massachusetts). Dershowitz was half right; they ruled that personal liberties could be suspended when "the safety of the general public may demand", specifically in the case of fining a guy who refused a smallpox vaccine. The ruling also said that individuals could not be forcibly vaccinated, so he was thankfully wrong about that (unless there's another case that allows for such assault that I'm not aware of).

You can be damn sure that by 2021, no kid is going to be allowed back in school without a COVID vaccine (see Zucht v. King). That should be interesting.

Depends on whether their employees were drawing unemployment or not.

No. The virus is carried on much larger droplets.

Relying on the state to ensure health and safety can be extremely detrimental to your health and safety:

Buck v. Bell, 274 U.S. 200 (1927), is a decision of the United States Supreme Court, written by Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., in which the Court ruled that a state statute permitting compulsory sterilization of the unfit, including the intellectually disabled, "for the protection and health of the state" did not violate the Due Process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.[1] The Supreme Court has never expressly overturned Buck v. Bell.[2]

Damned interesting. A lot of parents have just learned that homeschool is far better than just a viable option, and this may have a significant impact on the federal component of their funding which relies on headcount. I wonder what they'll do about paying the help? Funding their pensions? Might make them think twice before reflexively pushing the button.

And as it turns out, a huge hole has been blown in their favorite part of this hoax: Asymptomatic transmission was based on a very flawed paper: Study claiming new coronavirus can be transmitted by people without symptoms was flawed | Science | AAAS

And notice that the four women who contracted the virus from this definitely symptomatic carrier were only mildly ill, like the overwhelming majority of people who contract it. Notice that this is published by AAAS, not some "right-wing" website. These slobbering fools that go on and on about The Science with the same fervor reserved for Allah/Jehovah should be ignored for their 3rd-grade understanding of their new favorite word.

If the kids are "allowed" to come back to the school their parents' taxes paid for, and if they do get sick (which they don't -- see the charts below), here's an idea: Bangladesh medical team says Ivermectin with antibiotic Doxycycline works to treat COVID-19 patients - Firstpost

Remember when I mentioned this ivermectin approach early in the thread, and the idea disappeared? Maybe it wasn't expensive enough. Profits before people, Dr. Fauci? Hydroxychloroquin/azithromycin/zinc sulfate is just to unproven to use? This goddamn idiot has killed a bunch of people and ruined the lives of millions more. But he will keep his pension, and his royalty interest in the vaccine. This is Trump's biggest failing, and it should be corrected today.

And as the stats accumulate, it becomes apparent that the response to the "crisis" was the actual problem, since the response was absolutely wrong: Horowitz: One chart exposes the lie behind universal lockdowns - Conservative Review

Add this to the charts we posted yesterday: https://miro.medium.com/max/2000/1*A..._IPp_f3msg.png

    https://miro.medium.com/max/2000/1*f...nABXIlwpRw.png

    https://miro.medium.com/max/2000/1*C...fA2fa-hpCQ.png

and it becomes clear that the world's economy has been gutted by either absolute fools or terribly evil men.
