George, you came to that conclusion without looting anyone's home or business, setting fires and rioting, or mob-assaulting anyone. It's almost like because you weren't conditioned throughout your childhood and adult life to embrace victimhood and a massive conspiracy theory that your government, society, and fellow citizens are all plotting against you with racist hearts, you were ably to analyze the facts of the situation and come to a rational conclusion.
(Note, this man being "cop shit" could also be a rational conclusion, but the decisions to loot, riot, and assault ipso facto cannot be based on rational analyses of this situation - they can only be the conditioned, Pavlovian response to perceived, life-threatening conspiracy theories.

I was promised a wall, a ban on muslim immigration, a renegotiation of NAFTA, a repeal of the affordable care act, a reinvigoration of the coal industry, a tax break (my bracket actually got a tax increase), a balance of the federal budget, a draining of the swamp, etc. etc. etc. Trump's fatal flaw is promises way to much. I can't think of another politician in the last half century who has failed so epically to deliver.

I can think of at least one in recent memory. But really, have you not been paying attention? They all do that. I'm not saying you shouldn't hold a politician accountable for coming up short in the promises department, but promising shit they have no idea how to deliver is how they all get elected, because so many people are so goddamn stupid and refuse to be skeptical. It's like steroids in athletics. They basically have to do it at this point to have a chance to win.

They require faith in a higher power, subservience, unquestioning loyalty, making mandatory donation of money and service to the faith, disbelief of incredible amounts of contradictory evidence, shunning of the unbelievers, pious virtue signalling, justification of immoral acts committed to spread the faith, justification of spreading the faith by force and imposing it upon others, large scale organization and coordination and 501(c)(3) non profit status.

I do. Many people do, but are afraid to say they like him, because they don't want to be attacked or harassed. Many people who like him are censored and shouted down if they are willing to admit it.

I like him, because he is the only president in my lifetime who has acted with moral courage. He is willing to face down grave personal and reputation threats in order to do what is right for the country. He makes principled decisions, even if it means his detractors will slander or threaten him.

For someone from the NY metro area and has lived through his storied career, Trump is not a mystery to me. 25 years ago, he would have been an average president in terms of aggravating people. Had he ran for the Blues, which he did for a long time, particularly when he used to hang out with the Clintons, no one would have cared.

What really freaks me out are people like my parents, who should know better, who act like he’s some sort of Klan-hood-clad evil Moses riding into town from the wilderness.

I can't stand Trump, personally, and I didn't vote for him in 2016. Yeah I just saw that today too. I also saw a hospital in my area posted they now have zero covid cases in their hospital, which really is awesome news. On the other hand, my struggling mma gym can’t reopen until July 6th still for some reason. Also is worth noting the hospital is in the same city a huge protest occurred in last week, yet still has no covid cases.
