Great debate as always, good work, great share on Jimmy Dore.

I keep seeing this debate... "This will all end when Trump (or Biden) is (or isn't) elected". I don't think so.

I'm seeing something else going on. I'm seeing the opening of pandora's box. The Elite Left (Big D Democrats) are pandering to activists and marxist extremists to drive votes, but has it occurred to anyone that by pandering to their vote they starting something they can't stop. Now that the socialist activist progressive left groups are emboldened, have their own funding, have their own political voice, have their own leaders like AOC, there's no way they are just going to "go away" when (not likely) Uncle Joe gets into office! I see a 3rd party in the making, and I don't see an end to this craziness until the rest of America (Big R Republican and Big D Democrat) get together to squash the beef. OR.. Meet the new Republicans (Republicans plus Democrats) vs the new Democrats (Progressive socialists). Either way, you can't stuff all this unrest back into a neat little box without making a mess.

I know a Doctor at a metropolitan NJ hospital. COVID was very real, many people were infected and there WERE freezer trucks. She tested positive for antibodies (never had symptoms) despite PPE. Many people coming in were testing positive and asymptomatic. Expectant mothers testing positive (but no symptoms), marked as a positive case, though if they were not at the hospital delivering they would never have gone or been counted. It's bad, but it's 2x the flu bad, not end of the world bad. Our hospitals run with so little extra capacity (due to administrative issues) that the number of free beds is almost always a crisis. Bad, not end of days bad.

I used to think he was just another lefty clown, since he was with The Young Turks and they're all lefty clowns. But I do find I agree more with stuff he says now that he's on his own. Maybe it's because he doesn't toe the line, maybe it's because I really am still a moderate/centrist and not as right as I feel like I am these days.

No, you didn't read it right. In Britain, from 1942, via the British media, the war became increasingly about Jews, due to stories about alleged homicidal gas chambers.

And i'm not stupid enough to interpret televised entertainment as 'history'.

A fictional TV show produced by Jews is what you consider a definitive historical source on antisemitism?

I thought the same thing back when there were Black Panthers, Weathermen, and the Symbionese Liberation Army in the 70's. I was mistaken then.

OK, then explain British policy in Palestine post war with respect to Jews getting the Hell out of Dodge, or the Europe and it's Allied rescuers. There was a distinct effort to keep Jews out and in place in Europe. Including places like Poland, which could aptly be described as almost as anti-semitic as Germany.

Flip coins with p=2/3 chance of heads. Your binomial CI proves (under the statistical model) that p is within mean Ī eps. Do a hypothesis test where p>=1/2 and p<1/2 are the null and alternative. It fails to refute the null, but doesnít prove anything.

Sure, I get all that. But that is your reality - that's what informs your bias.

Here's another anecdote that helps describe my bias: a couple of weeks ago my dad fell and broke his nose. He needed surgery, but as part of the COVID protocols, he first had to get tested. Because his nose was so banged up, they couldn't get the swab in for the test, so they just marked him positive "as a precaution".

A little pet theory I've been toying with the past couple days is that the push for masks is an attempt by the elites to get the lid back on the box. Things have gotten out of control and they need to start pivoting. People who are fearful won't stop their hysterics until the media finally says it's safe .

One or two months of mask use, they'll wind down testing, cases will finally drop, and vožla, our benevolent overlords can take credit for solving Covid. The masks won't have actually done anything, but come election time they can point to the mask mandates and tell us all what good leaders they are. Could be why even Republican governors are pushing the masks at this point.

Gov. DeWine from Ohio just mandated them state-wide, which is laughable considering Ohio's stats on this thing. Even if you believe the numbers they're putting out, the majority of counties don't even have 100 cases.

In Ohio so far, Corona has presumably killed a little over 3,256 people in a state with 11,747,700 people (0.02%). Only 80,000 have even been infected (0.6% of the total population).

The numbers on this thing are just astoundingly tiny compared to the response. I'm still having trouble processing how people can be so scared this many months into it.
