All you need to do is look around and see who wears masks, and how many, to gauge the potential impact on the general voting populace.
This could go both ways, with lukewarm center-right people seeing a way to cement a useful Supreme Court in place. Although this situation doesn't strike me as a big generator of lukewarmness. Masks do not indicate left/liberal/democrat -- they indicate passive obedience, even in people who vote with us. I don't think they are a useful indicator of voting direction. How do you think they are, and why does Trump lose ground here?

Don't they need to replace her now given that this election is ripe for issues and decisions on it could end in 4-4?

    McConnell seems to think so:

Also Scott Adams amusingly explains the issue with mail in voting:

If Trump wins but loses the senate, he will have a hard time getting his supreme. Picks the Maine independent

If he wins and keeeps the senate (likely) he gets anyone. Maybe kushner.

If Biden wins and gets senate he could put AOC in.

If Biden wins and senate stays red. He might get a Hilary, Bernie, warrren supreme.

    Everything is planned....

    Lindsey Graham in 2018:
"If an opening comes in the last year of President Trump's term, and the primary process has started, we'll wait to the next election. And I've got a pretty good chance of being the Judiciary (chairman). Hold the tape."

Coincidentally, today I was waiting by the elevator after exiting my apartment and was joined by three large women in their 50's who had left another unit on the floor. I was not wearing a mask, they were. They stood against the opposite wall and glared. When the elevator showed up I got inside and held it open asking if they were going down, and one of them snarled "you're not wearing a mask." So I went down alone, and in the guest parking spot for the unit they were visiting was a Honda Fit with the trunk absolutely covered in progressive-left bumper stickers. I was not surprised.

It may be callous, but why doesn't Trump use the SCOTUS vacancy as a bargaining chip? He's the deal-maker, so let's make a deal and foster some national unity. Something like "Pelosi gets to fill the vacancy with her personal pick in exchange for [some Republican wishlist item]." A lot of cool stuff could be on the table, but knowing our Republicans in Congress they'd probably settle for a slight decrease in marginal tax rates or more federal outlays for aircraft carriers. It'd be a fun debate nonetheless.

Because the lousy dem's will renege on the deal just like they've always done before when trying to deal with them. Pelosi would swiftly fill the vacancy with the most extreme radical leftist possible (like Obama), then stonewall on any promises along with Schumer in the senate.

I hope I'm wrong, but my impression is that everyone who's been "red-pilled" by the bullshit this year and decided to vote for Trump has been. There's still a large portion of the population who are not doing anything but tuning into the news, and they have been thoroughly conditioned. My grandparents, for instance, are apolitical, blue-collar, Southern and Christian. They are also far from voting for Trump because he's "Just done so many horrible things." When I asked, every one of "those things" was a lie or media narrative, but they believed it. Just like they believed more people were dying in August from COVID-19 and that it was really spreading to children, now. I think there are far more people like that out there even still. Remember when 2018 was supposed to be a wave one way or the other, and all that happened was a few seats in Congress?

If Trump and the Republicans push a nominee, they will be confirming what the news is already putting out. That they're just grabbing for more power. It's a dark day with RBG's passing. She was such a champion of civil rights and the constitution against those who would oppress people. Trump is the bad guy. People vote Biden or don't vote at all, and Trump can't afford to lose a single vote at this point.

If they don't, well, we have a 4-4 SCOTUS left to decide an election with virtually zero confidence. And the news won't play anything from Trump being respectful of RBG or the process of nomination. He looks indecisive. They continue the barrage of smears and lies.

    Fuck.

It's well known that black and brown people are generally deficient in vitamin D because the darker color of their skin prevents absorption. I too heard a lot of talk about this back in March/April. However, it's much better to paint the picture of the virus as one that ravages minority communities due to years of institutional racism. Besides, it wouldn't be fair to the pharmaceutical companies to deprive them of billions of dollars worth of trial medicines, vaccines, etc., when they could just as easily produce a very cheap vitamin D supplement pill.

This is the type of naive drivel that has gotten this country to where it is today. Cuckservative BS.
