Meanwhile, Rand Paul is a public health risk.. I originally mistook this for satire, and then I saw that it was posted by Slate. How far we have fallen...

I'm not sure I'm picking up on the right thread, but Nietzsche's God is dead doesn't mean a reign of atheism by any means.

Here it comes, the Health Passports:

Report: Airlines to Require “Health Pass,” Vaccine Certificate Before Allowing Passengers to Fly – Summit News

I need to figure out how to cross the Bering Strait from over here to Alaska; on a fishing boat!? The ever-conspiratorial and supremely sarcastic Russians think THEY were the first to discover the Americas , and that they used this waterway to get there.

It would be nice to visit my homeland again sometime soon but I will not acquiesce to this madness, especially over an upper respiratory infection.

Its Trump's own people saying there has been no large scale fraud detected. Wave the white flag, it'll be cathartic. And who knew we even had a 'CISA' department?

"Christopher Krebs serves as the first director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Mr. Krebs was originally sworn in on June 15, 2018 as the Under Secretary for the predecessor of CISA, the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD). Mr. Krebs was nominated for that position by President Trump in February 2018."

Rip and others have mentioned choosing to not patronize businesses that don't require masks as a "solution," but oftentimes that is an inconvenient, if not impossible, choice.

About two months ago, the muzzle measures stretched out to this Russian region hours away from Moscow where I've been hiding out. Well, the measures were always here, but became obligatory rather recommendations once the governor started threatening to fine stores. The stores in turn fine the offending cashiers, which is how you get minimum-wage, everyday-citizen store workers to do your dirty work. Is that how compliance is being whipped out of us in America, too, by fining businesses?

It truly feels like a PsyOp in that, yes, you can politely argue about wearing the mask or refuse to wear it and try to buy things anyway, but then you have to deal with clucking about masks and governers' orders from the store staff, and even from obedient, soul-less, clump-of-human-cells citizens, whom I guess we all now call Karens. Add in intercom announcements and PSA ads on TVs in the buses or on the metro, and it all feels so surreal and is so wearing on one's psyche.

The reason I say that Rip's suggestion of avoiding the muzzling stores is nearly impossible is that when you're in a rush you can't hunt for other shopping options and it's easier to just pull up your scarf (or the collar of your jacket) over your bottom lip, than get into another debate with a clump of human cells. But in a way moving that scarf up a few inches feels like giving in to the repression, too.

So one other option I've found is that this might be a great time to boycott those big box stores and do most of your shopping at convenience stores (over here they're called "produktovye"). They seem to usually be independently owned, and you have a better chance (though not 100%!) of the store ignoring the muzzle mandate.

Another solution I've found is to carry a Halloween mask with me everywhere, with the breathing slits masking-taped shut, for those instances when you cannot reason with the cashier.
It still feels like enslavement but if enough people chose this route, the humor could perhaps overcome the smugness of the elite imposing these orders upon us.
Hell, if enough people got together and agreed to go maskless (something like a national de-muzzling day), it'd be impossible for the System to fine or arrest enough people, and enforcement of the illegal orders would become futile.
That's how BLM and AntiFa succeed with their riots, with masses of people, so why the hell haven't Conservatives thought of "community organizing" something like this yet!?

And, to the Brits and Australians out there on lockdown again, if your areas use QR-codes like I expect Moscow to return to soon, I recommend getting a "dumb phone" just to register the codes by text message , so that the complicit enforcers spend forever verifying you. That's what I plan to do!
And if enough people took similar actions, it would jam up the system, and, again, enforcement would become futile.
How sad that no one has thought about organizing mass actions like this yet!!

We don't need everybody. 10% of us would be more than enough

What was it that made you think Russian authorities would behave differently?
