I was 18. It was the first election I was eligible to vote in and I felt vested in the political process. I was glued to the TV and AOL (*snicker*) every day. I distinctly remember being annoyed with Gore for not conceding the election already. I thought the whole Supreme Court rigamarole would ultimately go nowhere. As far as the vibe from the news, I really don't recall being led to believe that Gore would win. I do, however, remember thinking that with only 500+ votes separating the two, I felt it was entirely plausible that among 5 million votes cast that .001% of the vote could have been legitimately miscounted. I certainly could have been naive, but I felt like Bush would prevail in the end. I was right, but probably because I only had a 50/50 shot at being right.

What this is beginning to look like.
Ok, let me rephrase the question, are you happier in Gouda land with the next generation surveillance dystopia under a "classical liberal" government or would you rather you stayed in Hungary where you would have had the opportunity to see what life in North Korea is like? It's a tough choice, I know.
Seems you've had some help making up your mind about this.

I really hope that the end of "free and fair elections" in the US comes at a very high price for government employees: https://twitter.com/aaronjmate/statu...10245627047938

Yes indeed. Kit’s “Security Audit” link refers to same Scytl, and the bankruptcy. Also shows that votes were stored in a NON-US regions of the Amazon cloud (AWS). Quite the no-no. Come to think of it, I’d classify votes as Export Controlled. Considered properly, therein is a hyooge export violation. Very very expensive to companies, with civil and potential criminal penalties (eg ITT night vision export violations).
Look, I wasn't sure how much of Nietzsche Itomo had read, so i wanted to maybe recommend some of the works for him, since we seem to be doing that, but I am 100 percent sure you haven't nor will you ever read any of this, so you will excuse me if I don't engage you in sociopolitical commentary.
