Not sure if you’re bored, butt hurt from getting banned yourself, or you’re trying to be cute, but “seeing is believing” is not a law of physics or a principle of science . In practice, it’s a classic error.

I am bored, but definitely not cute, and not butt-hurt (I banned myself).

Anyway, it's my turn to clarify. I was thinking of Feynman's statement that the laws of physics work locally, that there is no action-at-a-distance (I think it's early in his Lectures). I saw the involved parties and their interactions, which moreover matched a pattern in my own and others' past experience (law-like). I used that pattern and those observations to make an informed conclusion, with high confidence.

This is the best analysis I've read on the situation we find ourselves:

The Only Bridge Between Reality and Hope: The US Military

Warning: You might reach for the bourbon half-way through this. We did.

I'm not Twitter savvy, can't tell right from wrong there. Even better, this means someone took the time to create a fake Twitter account to fool dudes like me. Decent level humour, though the real comments like "In case you didn't hear, LA is in LOCKDOWN, why are you travelling anyway" are much funnier.

Wonder if that's a true account. I'm sorry, but I doubt it's veracity.

Way outside my ken. But I’d be surprised if Gorsuch had special insight into Trump’s intentions, much less a confidante.

    Defer to the boffins.

If it dies it was dead already. Like an 83 year old suffering from metabolic syndrome dying with the virus. As every other society in history, people will always succumb to the slow poison of decadence. A longtime friend of mine who is a pastor once told me "Everyone will disappoint you -- especially me." This board attracts those who voluntarily subject themselves to suffering in a productive and efficient way, and Rip you are right: narrow casting. So few cannot sustain the rigor and resolve to keep a free Republic, though.

We'll see how it goes. Rest assured in the fact that you have each done your best, and hope the problems of tomorrow aren't bigger than all of us. Sometimes they are.
