The typical Socialist is not, as tremulous old ladies
imagine, a ferocious-looking working man with greasy overalls and a raucous
voice. He is either a youthful snob-Bolshevik who in five years' time will
quite probably have made a wealthy marriage and been converted to Roman
Catholicism; or, still more typically, a prim little man with a white-
collar job, usually a secret teetotaller and often with vegetarian
leanings, with a history of Nonconformity behind him, and, above all, with
a social position which he has no intention of forfeiting. This last type
is surprisingly common in Socialist parties of every shade; it has perhaps
been taken over en bloc from. the old Liberal Party. In addition to this
there is the horrible--the really disquieting--prevalence of cranks
wherever Socialists are gathered together. One sometimes gets the
impression that the mere words 'Socialism' and 'Communism' draw towards
them with magnetic force every fruit-juice drinker, nudist, sandal-wearer,
sex-maniac, Quaker, 'Nature Cure' quack, pacifist, and feminist in England.

For the science orientated guys here, what's your thoughts on Kevin Mckernans view on masks?
Kevin McKernan
Masks Masquerading as ScienceTM.
I spent a good part of my career engineering emulsion PCR and Nebulization equipment for DNA and RNA shearing. I have a very different view on this topic and have mostly stayed out of the debate as it's now cultish.

Early on during the lockdowns, I thought that the business closures would get stopped and reversed once within a few weeks once a couple of wise business owners realized that they had the ability to get rich off of suing their local municipalities. No such luck. Legal action is expensive, and I don't think most small businesses have the money, time, or willpower to go through the court system.Big tech put the nail in the coffin when they started banning people' Kckstarterers and GoFundMes that they'd set up to cover legal expenses.
I certainly hope that the courts make the principled decision and award all these businesses some form of compensation, but the events of the past 9 months have made me doubtful that this is what will happen.
It is working out for me. In my case, I have no worries that Amazon is the Devil. I'm not a reseller, nor an I outsourcing the making of my product, I am the entirety of my business. If Amazon wants to come for me, fine, they'll need to get in line. I'm already being copied on both Amazon and Etsy, I've even had my photos pirated by other people. If someone wants to copy my designs and sell it for half of what I'm selling it for, I can't really do anything about it. I either lower my prices to stay competitive or I find a new product to make and sell. To that end, I have a long list of products that I know will sell well, but don't, because I don't need to and trying to keep up with a large selection is too inefficient. (Time, Effort, Return) being my business motto.
Unless the government steps in and provides Amazon special protections, then Amazon is not going to become a monopoly. There is just too many ways to sell a product and there are always going to be people that will sell for less.
it's absolutely amazing that you can show this type of analysis to people all day, and they still prefer to be scared. It's like everyone is engaged in a planet-wide role-playing game where points are awarded for hysteria.

This is how Lenin used Pavlov's dog theory to make the masses his bitches.
Joshua Philipp
Just as Pavlov’s dog was taught to associate the reward of food with the sound of a bell, the sad victims of political conditioning are brainwashed through the subversion of their interpretations of symbols. They are conditioned to associate their emotions with political issues.
