interventions targeted at interrupting chains of transmission which interventions are you referring to?

    -shutting down businesses?
-forcing people to wear masks everywhere they go?
-censorship of opinions as well as facts that run counter to the government course of action?
    -fines for non-compliance?
    -arrest for non compliance?
-deliberately placing the sick in nursing homes with the most vulnerable?
-rushing through vaccines with very high rates of correlation with adverse reactions and death?
-forcing people to get said vaccine or lose their job?
-forcing people to get vaccine or lose ability to travel?

What actions are the effective ones? Does it even matter?

What would the numbers of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease have to be to justify forcing people to wear fitness trackers, monitor their calorie intake, arresting them for possessing a doughnut, or cigarettes? What about forcing closed business that sell junk food? Censoring anyone who presents counter arguments? De-platforming groups like fit at any size and labeling them miss information? Fining people for gaining weight? Taking custody of their children because they smoke or provide food that the government has decided is bad?

But if you called it something innocuous like “Interventions targeting disease reduction.” it doesn’t sound so bad.

Since when did acting supersede the need to know if the action would be effective? Since When did acting supersede the need to consider any consequences? Since when did we adopt the stance that the people who make these decisions are infallible and must never be questioned? When did we adopt this mentality that the ends justify the means and in the name of the greater good we will take any action just to be seen as taking action? When did we lose our morality?

They used to have newspaper dispensers out on the streets. You would put coins in and the door would open. You were supposed to take one, not all of them. But you certainly could take them all and people occasionally did. Bums, in particular, would take the entire pile and sell them freelance or make a blanket. The newspaper companies knew all this.

    Does this answer your question?

If you add the chains of transmission WHO-speak thing, it even sounds noble. Does anybody remember last summer when the epidemiologist SWAT teams were doing the Test, Trace, Isolate thing of braking chains of transmission? It reminded me of when Caligula had his soldiers stab the ocean with spears because he went into war with Neptune. The line in my part of the world they were so tired from braking chains of transmission, they were falling asleep on their feet. Hilarious.

    I agree.

I'd be interested to put a number on it though. Would an IFR that is 3 times greater....times greater...10 times greater...100 times greater reason enough for interventions to be necessary?
