Yes, it absolutely bothers me. I didn't vote for her, nor will I. Crossing the line from (paraphrased) ‘we will share what we know, take rumours with a grain of salt’ to “we are the sole source of truth, disregard everything else’ is very bad.
She has been challenged publicly and on the official parliamentary record on this. https://www.parliament.nz/en/pb/hans...prime-minister
In the interest of providing balance, the comment was made on or about 19 march 2020 amid rumours that NZ was about to enter a lockdown. I understand the rumours included (allegedly) faked government statements like these in Australia Coronavirus shutdown Australia: The truth about the ‘nationwide lockdown’ warning message on social media | 7NEWS
For the record, NZ govt released its 4 levels of alert (lockdown) rules on 21 March 2020 (2 days later) and announced a level 4 (highest level) of lockdown on 23 March 2020 to commence 1159 pm 25 March 2020.

Scott Adams has become a pharma propagandist. I wonder how much he's getting.
Sad, if true.

Embarrassing, if true.
Thinking a little further than my other reply, perhaps the truly amazing things about this are that it takes over a year for this quote to be raised internationally as a point of concern and it was politically used in NZ about six months later as a lead in question about infrastructure build delays. I dont recall the quote happening at the time, whether I watched it, or whether anyone raised concerns at the time. Maybe everyone thought it was appropriate in the context at the time?
Before slinging that accusation, did you bother to actually read the linked article? There's pretty serious evidence that the Elgazzar data is bad. It demands an explanation from the authors.
The article overstates the importance of the Elgazzar study in the overall body of evidence. But if you're going to generously consider evidence from non-standard sources and designs - which I think is appropriate - then you have to be judicious in tossing out the noise.
Another Tucker monologue on Mike Milley.
The entire 1-6 narrative is blatant inversion. Some of the most powerful men in this country staged a coup, threw dirt in everyone's eyes, and shifted the blame onto a bunch of innocent middle class Americans. It's impossible to overstate how serious this is. If we were still a nation, there would be public hangings for everyone responsible.
I can't work out who this two thirds majority is. Out of the people I mix with, I'd say one in twenty. The people I mix with are working class and lower-middle class civilians (labourers, tradesmen, off-shore oil workers, small business owners, carpet fitters, policemen, firemen, wedding photographers, tire fitters, pharmacists, publicans) and non-commissioned officers in the military (presently technicians and warfare specialists). Maybe those surveyed aren't these people.
