Anyone heard anything about the Freedom Convoy? Seems to be a state media blackout on this one.

Is an editorial considered "Journalism"? Editorial: Ketanji Brown Jackson’s unflappable brilliance seals the deal. Confirm her swiftly - Los Angeles Times

Americans who followed the four-day confirmation hearing for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson last week were treated to a rare display of brilliance, principle and unflappability that demonstrate her fitness, to say the very least, to sit on the nation’s high court. The next step should be obvious and simple. Jackson should be confirmed without delay.

The nominee was forbearing and masterful in responding to the series of non sequiturs hurled at her during long days of questioning by a handful of strutting, preening Republican senators more concerned with the coming midterm elections and their social media mentions than with determining whether Jackson has the integrity and the intellect needed in a Supreme Court justice. Her testimony showed that she does, and her straightforward responses to questions about irrelevant political and policy matters showed the remarkable measure of both knowledge and patience that enabled her to be such a capable trial judge.

No current justice besides Sonia Sotomayor has served as a trial judge, leaving the court nearly bereft of an essential perspective on the judicial system’s keystone element.

In many other ways, Jackson’s experience is much like the justices she will be joining. She earned her law degree from Harvard, as did four of the current justices (four others got theirs from Yale). She clerked for a prior Supreme Court justice, as did five of the sitting justices. She worked for elite law firms and served as an appellate court judge.

But instead of spending a portion of her legal career in partisan jobs in the political branches of government, such as White House or legislative counsel or in various assistant attorney general positions, as most of the other justices did, Jackson presided over a courtroom. She handed down sentences, worked as a public defender, served on the U.S. Sentencing Commission and focused on multiple facets of the actual application of justice on real parties. That experience made her an expert on the legal system and a tolerant (to a point) witness on the Senate stand. It allowed her to demonstrate her judicial demeanor to the public watching the hearing.

The only break in her composure, however slight, came not under the ridiculous questioning by Sen. Ted Cruz, Republican of Texas, about whether he could be a temporary Asian or his colleagues’ various off-subject manifestos on defunding police, critical race theory and terrorism. It was the exuberant celebration by Democrat Cory Booker of New Jersey, who doubled down on the other attributes that make Jackson different from the justices who came before her, that visibly moved her.

“You got here,” Booker told Jackson, “how any Black woman in America who’s gotten anywhere has done. By being —.”

And then he stopped himself and resorted to a quip from the late Texas Gov. Ann Richards about dancer Ginger Rogers: She did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels.

It was clear what Booker meant: Jackson got where she is by being twice as smart, twice as determined, twice as hard-working and twice as tolerant as any number of white men who served on the court during an era — the majority of the nation’s existence — when neither Black people nor women were permitted to dedicate their lives and intellect to the law. That’s the caliber of person the Senate is now being asked to confirm to the Supreme Court. So for the nation’s sake, let’s get on with it.
The Corey Booker speech is amazing. You really should watch it.

Booker needs to be lodged in an insane asylum. That speech was unreal.

And then a guy who swallows all this media frenzy calls our discussions about the veracity of certain media stories “groupthink”.

Certain groups in power seem to have lost their ability to control populations, narratives and probably even large sections of their own governments, so they are turning to failed state level tyranny. I even think the very idea of everything being part of a plan is some kind of psychological mechanism which people have come up with to deal with this situation.
You read more into what I write than is there. When I say might, I only mean p>0, and I don't extrapolate to "everywhere" and "everything". I do try to make it a point to pay close attention to possibilities that the professional and upper middle classes would laugh off or mock as silly. I use many different lenses, but it's kind of pointless to comment on what I see through the ones everyone else is using.

Only slightly tangential, but Gonzalo Lira did a video on the Western elite class the other day. He gives an interesting perspective as an apostate of that class, having been raised to be a member. In fact, it reminded me a lot of the way you describe the elite class. He could have just as well titled the video "There are No Cabals" (something he says a number of times in the rant). There were some really good excerpts that I might clip here if I get around to it, but here's the video if you or anyone else is interested. I agree with him for the most part, but I think it's more complicated than simply "there are no cabals". However, his points are a good antidote to people who try to fit everything into a single unifying conspiracy theory that rules the world. The world is way too chaotic for that. In fact, it's a lot like physics, where you have to simplify things into "toy problems" because the entire reality is far too complicated to analyze as a whole. For example, there are many ways Trump could have "worked with the globalists" without even being aware of it, but communication becomes tedious, if not impossible, to always expand on such possibilities.

All I took away from what I saw of those confirmation hearings was that that woman is eerily lenient on child porn offenders. And that Corey Booker may in fact be in possession of child porn based on his weird joy.

    Can't stomach that, sorry.

When KJB was nominated I said that anyone that questioned her qualifications would be called a racist. Even the pundits are turning on their own.

Is it really? Klaus Schwab believes it to be true.
NGOs funded by George Soros were everywhere around the world promoting Covid theater lockdowns, mass vaccination, Build Back Better branding and Black Lives Matter riots. The tentacles even reached into local city administrative positions and awareness campaigns where I live.
We have since learned about the Trusted Media Initiative connected to the WEF and CFR.
There have been military training manuals from ~2016 in Ukraine emerging that list one of Soros' NGOs as the originator of the manual.(I do not know if they are yet confirmed to be authentic)
Soros NGOs funded several Ukrainian media outlets producing the ridiculous pro-war propaganda; For example, the ghost of kiev and snake island fantasies published by Ukrainian Pravda.

Exactly where and how the pieces fit together is impossible to know. We will never know much of it.
What we can tell is many of these globalist interests, like the communists, WEF, Rothschilds, Soros and CFR are funding large-scale media censorship and social engineering campaigns. We also know many of these groups or their precursors have been involved in global policy, political intrigue and war-mongering for at least 250 years.

We have also seen very intelligent, well-connected men, like Patrick Byrne make claims that Hillary Clinton was supposed to win the 2016 election and would have won if the Russians had not intervened to block manipulation of vote tabulations in our electronic systems that year.
The purported Russian intervention in 2016 could be seen as a response to the 2014 color revolution and election rigging in Ukraine.
The Democrats have been screaming about Russian conspiracies involving Trump since that time.

I do not know if the claims of special ops teams, casualties and missions in Germany connected to the 2020 election are true or not, but we do know there were extremely unusual activities surrounding the 2020 elections.
Rigged elections are not an uncommon occurrence historically.

Only that a bicyclist got in front of them and went just about as slow as he could. The Media is claiming he gave the truckers a taste of their own medicine, but I look at as he was leading the convoy. By riding very slowly in the middle of the street, he helped the convoy prolong the disruption without the police being able to interfere. Good Job Bike Man!!
