Chinese social media, Starting Strength, and the clean

Not sure how you’ll feel about this, but despite the common attitude in the U.S. about the bar path on the deadlift, in Chinese weight training circles videos are circulating that show how closely the bar path on the clean of their elite weightlifters follows a straight vertical line, with text to the tune of, “Look at this, do you get it?” (In Chinese, of course.)

Of course, there’s other things going on with the weightlifting team. It shows that Starting Strength’s ideas are spreading in China, though, slowly but surely.
