    My two cents: Once you need to use straps to get through your working set, use them for that. Just use without on all warm-ups. As your top set goes up, your top warm up goes up. Your grip strength will thus grow stronger, too.

    Proud hooker here. My grip has only become stronger as all of my lifts go up, despite the fact that I hook my pulls from the 3rd warmup set on.

    Use self adhesive tape on your thumbs if you’re a little bitch like me.

    I'm assuming that is a given. But if your grip still gives out before your hams and back, use straps at top set.
