    Hello Coach Rip,

Just as I was getting back to healthy dieting and lifting, I was hit with a Splenomegaly diagnosis (enlarged Spleen). I saw an old post from 2013 by Dr. Sullivan which could be summarized as "heck no .. don't risk it. Stop lifting". I do feel a bit of discomfort when squatting and deadlifting that I thought was just part of the normal pain and discomfort you get with lifting. I didn't even know what a Spleen was. I wonder if no lifting is still the stance or has the opinion about this changed?

Probably depends on the exact details, as medical situations always do.

Yes, good call. I'm having a blood test next week, I'll share some details after the results are back. I don't believe I have mono. I was in a car accident though and I also do have some liver issues.
