    Default Annoying Knee Pain

    Hey Coach,

Last week I played basketball for the first time in a few months. The next day I woke up and my knee was kinda sore. I figured it would go away in a couple days but it's been 8 days now and the pain hasn't gotten better or worse. I feel it most when I bend my knee. It's right above my right knee cap.

I know you generally recommend aggressive rehab so I've continued lifting. It bothers me on squats and deadlifts- more so on deadlifts, I think because my legs are facing forward as opposed to squats where I push the knees out. I can still lift, but not quite with maximum intensity.

Is this something that will eventually go away on it's own, or should I be concerned? And should I continue to lift?

    Thanks,

This will teach you to avoid basketball. BB is for watching, not playing. Hell, I don't even like to watch it. But if you didn't feel it at the time, it is an inflammatory situation. Advil time. Train through it. Maybe use a wrap for a while.
