Really really enjoy these segments. Honestly I am so sick of the big lifts if I never heard or did them again I would be ok. But Texas cafe food? That is something I can get into. That damn chicken fry is my favorite breakfast now and with the restaurants all effectively closed I am getting lots of chicken fry reps. I will have to try the okra Monday when I get off call. Still waiting on the fried chicken recipe. Can’t wait to try that.

I learned two new words today,
    Okra AND Squash. LOL.
I’m gonna try this, it looked really good.

I haven't eaten okra in 20 years, I need to correct that.

Cooked chicken fried steak (pork) last weekend. Should have cooked more, I nearly got stabbed with a fork by a hungry child who wanted the last one.

You had me up until the word Okra. While I've spent most of my adult life in the South, I've not embraced all things Southern. Okra, grits and chitterlings being three foods I've never developed a taste for :-)

Thanks for the recipe, the whole family loved it. I went hard with the grease, just like you advised.
