    What the hell are you two sipping in those mugs? 1984 DUNE is unwatchable?
    Not a perfect perfect movie but a good solid attempt. Good acting and for the most part true to the novel.
    If only David Lynch had selected a more...umm...am I allowed to say.... rugged and masculine actor it would have been a very good movie.

    But give it some love. It was a bold undertaking at the time. But you have more fired up for the new one this summer.

    It was a fucking disaster, Tom. You haven't read the book. I'll bet you thought the Starship Troopers movie was good too.

    Lynch got the Fremen right and the irredeemable perversity of the Harkonnens.

    But, Tom, Paul Atreides needed to have been cast as someone more masculine? He was an adolescent boy in the novel.

    100 % agree about Twin Peaks. First two seasons were some of the best TV ever.
